I hate MA.... in a big truck.... BTW... going to CT...

 

Ok.. I'll read all y'all postings later... but I am anxious to post a summary of my last week... running nights....
This was the road to and from the shipper in NV... The first two pictures are super blurry.... cause the truck was shaking SOOOO MUCH that even though I was driving at 15 mph I couldn't keep the camera still...





This place was LITERALLY in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.... in NV....
Got there before 6 am and there were already 2 trucks....


And that place reminded me of MR. @Tall Mike ..... talking about dirty, dusty places/ loads...


Backed to the dock.... dust all over... everywhere.... Had to keep windows closed.... but that dust is super fine...



Had to clean truck inside after that... and waiting for some strong rain to wash outside truck as well....

Back to the road out of that place....




Shipper had a scale but I was too heavy on my drives... even with my tandems all the way to the front... they rearranged the load and I left... still a little too heavy on my drives but since I have an APU I have a 400 lbs exemption and that should be ok... But closest CAT scale was 93 miles away...

Some of these loads, I would rather not pull...
Good miles... from NV to CT... but going thru I-70 from UT to CO.... NOT FUN AT ALL...

 

Nice scenery on the road....



But had a problem when I was almost at the end of my driving shift....




Good thing I was about 10 miles from a TA and they did repairs....
But didn't have the "tree connection" as they call so to fix the air hose that was missing.... and my company doesn't want me to "mess" with that.... So... let them do it when I get back to their shop in OKC sometime...

And then.... back on the road... in CO.... taking it VERY SUPER EASY on the road... going UP and DOWN.... at 35 and 45 mph with flashers on so not to aggravate the brakes... it took me almost one extra hr to get to the bottom at Wheat Ridge, CO but my brakes got only slightly warm...

That makes me SOO HAPPY!

 

Ohhh yeah... I almost forgot to mention... to my dismay.... arrived at FJ in Frazier Lake, CA for my mandatory 30 min break and that's what I found...



No more FJ... for now at least... totally demolished.... I wonder what will be there then.... that used to be a HUGE parking lot and great spots.... sad to know it's no more...


There's still a dirt lot across from that former FJ.... that's where I took my break.... Glad I didn't have to take my 10 hr break... that place would be packed... maybe?

Here... was parked at a small Sinclair in CO... place seems to be parking spot for livestock haulers....


And now parked at this nice spot somewhere in OH.... taking my 34... Will leave at midnight or so.... heading to deliver in CT tomorrow....

 

Yesterday, as I entered a truck stop, I noticed this truck CR England... it was stuck in the RV fuel bay....


Tow truck was there checking... but then left without doing anything....

 

ABSOLUTELY! That was the SAME inspection station where I got the violation about 3 months ago or so for the strap around one of the air tanks that wasn't very tight...
I was SOOOO HAPPY when I got the "No violations found" on the report that I couldn't contain my emotions.... called so many folks in my company, Mr. Maintenance, Ms. Safety, Mr. Director of Operations and the dispatcher and gave them the good news... and I was crying with happiness... Hey... I am a woman afterwards....

Looks like a rebuild. Place was a maze of little twisting passages (or was it a maze of little twisting passages?)

Either way CHiP is saying under a year... I kinda doubt that.
