You guys know... trucking... sometimes things don't happen the way you have planned...
I did a drop and hook this morning in my company's warehouse in north IN and then came to shipper in MI for pick up tomorrow morning.. they said I could park here overnight.... But at the gate, I was told this load is not ready till next Friday.... errrrr... FRIDAY?? WTF!
Called broker but all he could do was to pay me for coming here... Will have to wait for dispatcher to find me another load.... and since tomorrow is a holiday... I may not be running.... at least she will pay me layover..
But this screw up... Now I'm parked at the shipper's yard... had to unhook, slide tandems all the way to the rear.... and bob tail next to portable outhouse.


Security was very nice to let me park here overnight.. I just hope and pray nobody comes knocking on my door at 3 or 4 in the morning to tell me that I gotta leave... There will be no place to park anywhere around here... a couple rest areas about 20 miles away... This is all I can go with personal conveyance.. and closest truck stop is almost 30 miles away...
So, if I have to go to truck stop for parking, will have to start my clock... This crap just psss me off...
