Sitting at MP 211 on i70 eastbound before Eisenhower tunnel. Blew off an intercooler pipe. Hose clamp failure.

I reinstalled it but without the clamp it will just blow it off again

    At least I can idle.

    Yes it’s snowing hard.

    My luck this week continues.

If you have a coat hanger wire and a pair of pliers you could make a better clamp. That or even copper wire could do it in a pinch, just tie it instead of the twist that can be done with a twist.

Mechanic didn’t have the right size turbo hose clamp. I cobbled a couple of radiator hose clamps together and got through the tunnel and down to Wheatridge TA to get the right clamp.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I added it to my “oh #### how am I going to fix this Macguyver book” hahahahaha

A better suggestion would be to keep the good used ones somewhere, instead of letting the mechanic toss them in the trash. The coat hanger clamp will blow right off the first time the turbo spins up. At best it would only hold the boot on to idle while you wait. There's a reason they use stainless tension clamps for that application.
