Yes. Surfed since I was 7. Spent +35 years in that industry. The last 20 running companies I co-founded.

Driving truck is the happiest I’ve been in the last 10 years.

Introduced to it when I was Squid and loved it — moved to the high desert in 86 and been here since

Victor valley area ? I don't know why but I always find desert area's beautiful to look at. I know they can be dangerous places to be in, but they are so tranquil most of the time..except for the highway traffic.

I wonder if I’m one of the few that have a surfboard on his truck when he runs solo. Just in case. You never know when time and tide will meet and I can go get barreled.

    Which also had me thinking...

I’ve never fly fished before. But a lot of the lanes I run go by what looks to me like decent fly fishing. I wonder if i should buy some gear and watch some videos and learn. There’s this place I see off the 5 where I could park and walk down a small hill to the Shasta river...I think it would be a great way to spend my 30.

Don’t do the fly fishing — it’s extremely addictive. Tried it last year after laughing at the purists for years— now I have 2 rod/reels, float tube, waders, wading shoes, all the misc. crap that’s required and once in a while have dreams about flys — don’t do it.
