Watch the movie "And a River Runs Through It." Watch it your own peril.
I was just fine with ocean salmon and halibut until I saw that movie.
Once a guy tries fly fishing and likes it, nothing is ever the same.
I still chase my ocean fish but I spend a lot of time fly fishing in the mountains too.

We deep sea fish all the time at home. Especially summer when we head out to the Cortez banks for tuna. Yellow fin mostly.

I was in Montana when they were filming a river runs through it. Fly fishing just never connected with me. Now I’m like 30 years older and stopping and taking my 10 and doing a little fishing sounds really good. There’s a fly shop I see all the time heading towards Shasta. Maybe it’s in Redding or between Redding and Shasta lakes. Anyways I’m dreaming. I don’t have enough time at this point to do all the stuff I already love...but given half a chance I’d give it a go. Guess I need to find a place where I can do a 34 and rent equipment and see what I think.

Most sporting goods stores have beginners kits reasonably priced — 4 piece pack rod would be the ticket for a truck. You have been warned.

I’ve never blamed someone yet for my kinks. LOL.

    #### it. I’ll buy the 4 piece pack rod and then torture the truly addicted with photos of rivers and such. Muhahahahahahaha!

    :D

Don’t worry I’ll show up with a coffee can full of worms. Red can. Hills Brothers.

Don't forget your fishing license , fishing without one is a bigger crime than crossing the border illegally

Pink wiggles are the best when nothing else works — didn’t say I was that addicted.

    You’re right. You said:

    I made an assumption. Sorry.

Either way. Sounds like another time consuming, and expensive hobby that I don’t have time for... so I’m in! :D

My wife and son are driving me back to the yard.

Tractor should be done and should have a new trainee waiting.

Ready to roll. I’m missing the driving and such. I really like this job!
