Ohhh.... wait a minute... I just read that you will wait till Monday.... Lucy looks pretty fancy....
chopper103in, 062, RedForeman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Parked outside the receiver's gate last Sunday night... delivered last Monday in San Diego, CA.
From there, rushed to the garbage and recycling plant near Los Angeles.... and pick up a load of filthy smashed plastic bottles....
There I was at the dock being loaded...
The darn thing left a BIG mess in the trailer....
I should know better.... Should have called the company and asked them if we were indeed going to haul that filthy and stinky load.... They would probably say NO!
chopper103in, 062, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is the condition of the trailer after I delivered that filthy load....
And that was AFTER I swept the floor....
Floor had laundry soap and other kinds of nasty wet dirt mixed with more dirt... the floor was sticky... even the walls are covered with wet dirt crap...
So... I was able to pick up another load after that... but after I deliver on Monday, will have to have trailer washed out.... very well washed out and that floor has to be scrubbed....
Our trailers are food grade and a lot of our loads require a clean, dry, odorless trailer.... I wonder if the next shipper will accept the trailer... even after it's washed out.... I think they will need an odorless dry trailer...
I have opened the vents to see if some of the stink will go away....

And last week, was on my merry way in UT when this happened....

Kept driving for a few more miles to the only truck stop around... there was nothing else on the road and the shoulder wasn't very wide.... Just passed a highway patrol in the median... Had my flashers on but I guess he didn't see the tire...
Did damage to the mudflap, cross bar, metallic plate under trailer.... but nothing else.... thankfully...
It took 5 hrs to get all repaired and $963.00...
Repair guys were able to unbend the metal plate and screw it back to the trailer.... not perfect but it's legal.
I am sure when this trailer goes back to the company, they will finish fixing it right. -
Delivered in IA, pick up another one in IA and now on my way to Phoenix... Taking my 34 now... and gonna prepare some veggies here to have with my brown rice and the green beans soup...
062 and MagnumaMoose Thank this. -
I would call you. But then again the next question would be what too call you? (teasing)
They call that repaired????
For five hours of work I would have removed the tires, folded the metal back, with a bottle jack and some beams that piec of metal would have been straightened befor putting the self drilling bolts in place.
When you get back to the shop? Have the company shop repair that panel. If you ask me they did a poor bandage of a repair. It should have had at LEAST ten screws in there instead of the five. That inside corner you will need to keep an eye on as it will start to fail there first. Yet it will break in a short amount of time. Send the last picture on to the company, they will authorize further repair. DOT sees that inside corner they will probably park you.chopper103in, Rocks and 062 Thank this. -
Here again I would have welded it instead of the bolts. But that is only me
chopper103in, Rocks and 062 Thank this. -
Dang. I’ve got a trainee and I keep thinking about it but then I fall asleep. LOLchopper103in, Rocks and 062 Thank this.

Spread a bunch of new coffee grounds on the floor and it will soak up a bunch of the smell. Used to do that with egg trailers and worked fairly well.chopper103in, Rocks, lovesthedrive and 3 others Thank this.
