    Funny story.

I asked my DM to route us toward his house. It was his daughters birthday. My DM rules and gets us there ASAP. His wife and kids came and met us at the delivery location. He’s showing his kids the truck and I’m talking to his wife...

    She goes “how you doing?”
    I answered “good”.
    You know small chat.
She then says... “No, how are you doing? He never stops talking...”
    I burst into laughter!

    :D :D
    I said “I nicknamed him Sir-talk-a lot”.
We’re both laughing and he asks what’s so funny?? I almost pee’d my pants from laughing. So the nick name is out of the bag.

He got to spend 4 hours at his house with his family for a quicky b-day party and he came off like super Dad. Which he is. He’s got a great family.

I also explained to him things in trucking rarely work out that way. But when they do it’s pretty great.

Anyway. I go back on Monday or Tuesday to see who my next training victim is.

At some point it’s going to be @Zoltan1a and I’m really going to post about ####.

    :D :D

Sulphur Springs, TX, in the receiver's staging yard for tomorrow's drop.

TAKE HEED TO THE FOLLOWING, ALL BARBECUE AFICIONADOS......

If you haven't yet, try Nick's Barbecue and Catfish, I-40 X183 in Carlisle, AR.

Truck parking. Good barbecue. Worth the stop.

Everybody's "Top 50 barbecue joints" list is different. Some make the list for big servings, some for big flavor, some for both.

I purposely "ordered small", in case it sucked. It did not.

I even had to break my "no sweets after 5pm" rule, because they have assorted homemade fried pies, served plain or with ice cream. Warm peach fried pie with vanilla ice cream.......

I hope I can hit it again on my way home. G'night all!
