Yeah sir.. Actually I did know that I was going to get only a bunch of lettuce and one or 2 slices of tomato... I was "lucky" they had onions.... And I added cucumber and radish that I had in the truck...
Was just pointing out that here in America, when you buy a salad in general, you get a lot of lettuce and maybe tomato and some shredded cheese and dressing.... I don't eat dressing.... Had olive oil and peeper and salt in the truck....

 

Believe so. I didn't talk to those guys much; I was kinda new to TTR and didn't feel too accepted by that group. Ya know?

 

Outlaw.... When I started driving here in the USA, I did use paper logs for a while.... and drove my rear end off... but will not go into details...
When I did hitchhike with truckers in Brasil back in 1980 and early 80's, I did run with REAL freakin "outlaws" .... but in that country there are no laws... and nobody respects anything or anybody anyway...

 

Seven dollar salads are a HUGE joke here in the US; at least in Ohio, anyway. We make our own, often...here at home. Peppers, onions, sometimes olives, cucumbers, carrots (shredded) ... cherry tomatoes... what am I forgetting? Oh yeah...the lettuce! A bit of iceberg, but we prefer romaine, and a bit of kale. Alfalfa sprouts on top (in season) are marvelous!
The wife is Italian, so we use Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar and salt and pepper as well. Sometimes add a bit of goat cheese or some exotic cheese, on top.

 

Ok.. don't need to answer if you don't feel like... but I don't understand what it means "... and it really shows"... What shows what? What does that mean? Ohhhh... Whatever....
Ok... I read your posting again and got it now...

 

I started out trucking in the 80's here, as well... yes, on paper, yes... kinda a few log books. In 2003 I had to get 'legal' with the regulations...and here I still am....LoL.

 

And it shows means 'and that's what i see...' I tried to explain it previous the best I could. What he is saying is that these new drivers don't know how we used to run, "and that's obvious."

 

Hmmmmm.... I've just finished my meal.... brown rice that I cooked, chickpeas, zurquini (gosh... how is that spelled?) squash, carrots, etc, etc, etc... very well seasoned, and bought cheese quesedilla (however that is spelled), and the lettuce salad that I improved in the truck... But your salad is putting water in my mouth...
