Yes... very sad what people that grow food do here in America. They mess up soooo much with the natural plant, the seeds and such + all the stuff they put on the soil and the chemicals on the produce... that totally changes the nutrients, the flavor of the food.... The other day I had a load of zinc liquid that I took to a place that sold that to farmers... They use that on the soil... say that is a nutrient... but that on itself is poison for humans.... I know they mix that with other ingredients and spray on the soil. They said that even organic food is also "treated" with chemicals... I really HATE the taste of the food in America. It has no taste compared to the food in Brasil.... and many things have a sweet taste that is much different from what I was used to in Brasil...
Milk for instance... here all of the milk that I can buy at supermarkets, Walmarts and truck stops are homogenized, pasteurized and vitamin D is added... :angry2: Can't find raw milk... :biggrin_25513:

The only 'raw' milk we are blessed to get is from the Amish. There's a family up 'our' road, and further up the road the other way, about 12 families. We often get soy or Almond milk. Once in awhile I'm at a truck stop and the only milk they have is some 'MOOOOO' MILK. I mean, really..what the heck?!?

Yeah... it's a shame... when I was living in a house, I used to buy milk from farmers at a whole food market. Their milk had real cream on top of the bottle.... and thick raw milk with all the nutrients and bacteria that real milk has... But unfortunately I have to buy milk at truck stops most of the time... :biggrin_2557:

I once tried raw goat's milk... that stuff is thick and heavy... and it gave me some diarrhea.... Well.... maybe if I had continued drinking it, I wouldn't feel so bad... but I didn't like the taste either.... I really LOVE cow milk.... but have to conform myself with what they sell on the stores.... :biggrin_2557:

Yeah, the raw goat's milk is almost like cream. Couldn't drink it straight but for a sip. We get fresh cow's mild up the road, and can't be more grateful to live in amish country~! Free range eggs as well...the brown, of course. As annoying as they can be on the roads, we sure LOVE their products. We get all our seeds and saplings from them; finally planting this week (a bit late) and last.. had a freeze; not sure what we did or didn't lose. I till the heck out of it and wife does the planting and the gardening. Sure love FRESH.
