Where Are You Continues, Again.....

I know... some "safety" groups bypassed DOT and FMCSA and sent letters to Congress... So, I sent emails to my reps in the Congress explaining to them why that idea is so dangerous and what consequences that will create... I know that is not enough... and I wonder who they will listen.... There's not enough pressure from truckers, O/Os and alike against this absurd idea.... OOIDA is the only organization we have, that I know of that speaks for us at the moment....

 

Just stopped by very quickly here to say HI! to everybody... gotta go back to running my errands...
Will check out of the hotel on Sunday morning, get back in the truck and go to my company's warehouse in TN, grab another trailer and sit there till Monday morning... they will load me and I will run to SC for an event on Tuesday morning...
Now that I am in this other DSP board, I may be doing more company events than broker loads... and I suspect my miles will drop considerably.... hope I am wrong.... Shall see...

 

Hopefully the company has some kind of "event pay"?

My company pays the same cpm whether it is an event or a broker load but if there's a delay or layover during an event, they pay us more. Generally there are no delays or layovers during events though... And the miles on event loads are much less than the miles on broker loads.
And we gotta have truck and trailer washed for those events as well..... wear company uniform and a few other things... and we have to stage there for some hrs cause folks take lots of pictures of the trucks, and the event, and the people, etc, etc...

 

I wasn't going to say anything... but hey, can't contain my curiosity... English is my second language and after reading this posting several times, I still don't know what some of the sentences mean...

I understood you saying you will delay being an O/O... and will remain company driver for a while.

So running my mouth. Or just on this site saying my stupid thoughts.

The Push meant I missed the big money of 2018.

Hey... Thanks.... After I posted that I figured out "my dum ### no nothing..." Yeah.... I should know better....
Yeah... I suspected you meant "yapper" but wasn't sure...
And the Push... suspected that was what you meant too... Yeah.... I remember in 2018 when the ELDs became mandatory and drivers were quitting and others were having a hard time with it and brokers were "desperate" looking for trucks....
