Talking about food... there's a restaurant in this truck stop... I can smell their food from the truck here.... I bet it's meat... I may take a peek to see what they have... but pretty sure there's nothing that I would eat.... I have already cooked my meal in the truck... brown rice and cooked veggies as usual....

    MagnumaMoose Thanks this.

Hey... is it hard to find a load out of Seattle nearby area right now? My DSP has me posted all day with brokers for a load tomorrow and couldn't find anything.... :angry2: I bet if I were in my other DSP's board, I would have a load already....
Going to deliver in the morning and hopefully she will have something for me so that I won't have to go park at one of those expensive truck stops nearby.... Shall see...

Rocks, it isn't about tuff. It is hard to explain, but the cold is dry anytime it gets real cold, it feels different and is tolerable unless you are in the wind. Even then we have clothes that you can not get cold in, I don't care how cold it is. We do stand around outside and shoot the breeze when it is 30 below either, but if we need to work in it we just suit up for it.
Even if you came up for the first time, you would probably not put a coat on unless it got down in the 30's.
I wanted to come up here all my life, but life got in the way and stayed down there till the kids were grown. For ten years or close to it authritus bothered me in the winter down there, even in dry New Mexico, even sleeping in a warm house, would wake up hurting. I gave up on the thought of ever living up here.
When I started driving up here and sleeping in truck even in 30 below or lower temps, I did not remember waking up hurting, so I started paying attention, and sure enough no authritus.

    Rocks Thanks this.

It can be a challenge to find a reasonable paying load out of the WA and OR.

I do not think your company has connections into the better paying freight and they will end up taking a low paying load just to get you out.

    Rocks and 062 Thank this.
