Well... some places are beautiful... but they destroy the natural environment a lot.... a lot of pollution... and a lot of visual pollution as well.... Last time I was there I took pictures of things one would never see in America and posted here... I stayed for some time in the small village in the middle of nowhere where my dad lives.... and also in the northern part of the state of Rio... but didn't go to any touristic place... Spent a lot of time at doctors' offices, notary offices, banks, government offices, city hall and places like that... Was there for almost 3 months and had only 2 days available to go to the beach and relax some....
Not sure exactly when I will go yet... But yeah... will take lots and lots of pictures and post here.... :biggrin_25519:

The stuff we don't see here is more of what I am interested in. I am not big on tourist areas anywhere, actually shy away from them, myself.

Thanks @Rocks Even just getting you to think about WA snapped the heatwave for us. Clouds rolled in last night. Actually hit a rain downpour this afternoon. Looks mostly cloudy for the weekend also.

Delivered this morning in Maumee, OH... then, pick up a load about 2 miles away and now parked at a rest area in IA.....
I consider myself a safe driver... careful with the equipment and the load.... Shipper strapped the load but left one pallet on top of another with no strap or nothing holding it and too far to be reached.... :angry2:
So, I pointed that out to shipper... that I was worried that pallet might fall...
And lady at shipper said... "So... you are a "wild" driver... huh...?" :biggrin_1square1:
No ma'am.... I am a very safe driver.... that's why I am asking loader to rearrange those pallets and strap all the ones on the top cause I have a looooong way to go, up and down hills and curves and the road is in horrible shape.... No matter how careful one may drive, a pallet on top of others at the edge like that with no strap is likely to fall....
And so they did rearrange those pallets and strapped them right... and then I used another strap just for reinforcement... :yes2557:
Now it is time for bed... Y'all take care out there....

Today is Father's Day in Brasil... My beloved dad has been seriously ill for quite some time now... He is hospitalized and taking blood transfusion.... having more blood exams and still no idea when they will release him from the hospital.... He has some lung problem... maybe cancer.... had pneumonia some weeks ago.... he has diabetes... and recently acute anemia... he is getting blind, can't hear well, having difficulty eating solid food and swallowing, can't move his left arm and left leg due to a brain stroke he had several years ago... He is feeling MISERABLE and extremely angry.... and I think his diabetes is affecting his brain as well..... He doesn't open his eyes, his head down, feeling so weak can't even sit up on bed.... :biggrin_2557:
I was planning on going to Brasil in December and stay till March and celebrate his 90 yrs old in February with him... but now.... Every time I see him via Whatssapp video call I feel an urge to be there right now...
But I still have a lot to take care so that I can travel.... cause I can't just drop everything and get my luggage and go.... I have a lot to prepare for a trip like that and nobody to do anything for me....
And once I go, I may not be able to come back before December... and don't want to come back to a new automatic truck that I will have to learn how to drive at the beginning of winter.... :biggrin_25513:
So.... I may end up separating from my company.... time will tell.... one step at a time...
Going to try to get my renewed Brazilian passaport at the end of August and do some other things during my "hometime" at the hotel in TN on the last week of August...
