Thank you! Thank you! I need to hear that.... Yeah... I still need a passport to travel and make preparations for such a long trip out of the country... but definitely, will go as soon as possible....
Tomorrow I will call the hospital and will know from the doctor what dad's real condition is and the blood test results and more details.... and I am preparing for this trip... it's coming soon....

They are very good people... but they used to have more trucks.... When I started, they had 35 trucks.... but some drivers died, others retired... most of their drivers are over 50 yrs old and a couple or so are 70 yrs old.... real great people... We are all solo drivers going 48 states and it looks like these kind of companies are in extinction...
I am making good... not great but good money.... and don't have to put up with crap and BS.... and they take great care of the equipment... and have a great safety record with DOT.... I hope they never go under... but time is changing quickly in this industry and it's hard to keep up with the megas....
If they keep losing drivers like this and get less than 20 drivers... I don't know how they will pay the bills.... Which is sad.. cause they do an incredible humanitarian work....

 

Don't let it stress you, do what you need to do and relax, everything happens for a reason.
You might start trying to recruit them some good drivers before you are ready to leave though. JUST IN CASE. lol
It would be sad to see them go down because they can't find satisfactory drivers, but the main reason I quit running extra trucks was a couple of my drivers were moving on to bigger and better things, and they would have been hard to replace. The smaller an outfit is the better class of driver is needed, it is not a high profit business, where just anyone will do.

I have been home o week and it looks like I will be until the end of the month, sucks but it is what it is. At least I have some guys doing a couple of things to the truck I have been wanting to do. lol

Nooooo.... then I will go to Fresno to pick up another load and bring it back to the warehouse in CA....
