Where Are You Continues, Again.....

Went to the small "Posto de Saude" in this little place where I am.... it's not really a hospital... it's more like a place with doctors and some basic medical service... it's a government public service.

 

Back at my dad's home, his lady prepared a nice meal for me... some beans + veggies and brown rice and nice salad... All super natural, no chemicals or anything, cooked from scratch.... Hmmmmm.... I am eating like I should.... Gotta gain some weight... Stepped on a scale today... it showed 47 kgs... or 103 lbs...

 

I have no idea.... but I can ask someone when I have a chance...

 

Ms. @Rocks ... 103# ?!?!?!? Wow... both my teens weigh more, and my 13 y/o is 15 and thin (but tall~!) Heck, My pittie probably weighs that much, haha! (He needs a diet, tbh.) << That's what you need when you come back stateside to drive. A pet. Preferably a pittie, but any non shed breed will do, haha! (Dave will say a cat or two or ten, but.. okay~!)

Yes'm, please do, PUT THAT WEIGHT ON... that food looks AWESOME~!!

Hi... I have always been skinny... and so were my parents.. it's in the genes.... nothing much can do about it....
Sorry to say dad is at the end of his life here... he may die at any moment now... I haven't been sleeping at nights. By his side night and day.... His situation has been deteriorating pretty quickly.... I am glad I arrived last Tuesday and on Wednesday he realized I was here... But I am sad he couldn't see me (his vision deteriorated to the point of blindness) and he couldn't hear much... He can't recognize voices much....
Yesterday I think his condition turned so bad... I think his wife and others thought he would die last night.... some folks came here to visit... even the pastor from his church and prayed with us by his bed... I was up all night and day.... and will stay up all night tonight as well.... monitoring him.... His wife even hanged his suit on the wall.... the clothes he will be wearing in the coffin... I find that a little "morbid"... but at this point.... so be it....
We are all waiting for him to leave his body... for me it is SO MUCH MORE painful to see his struggle in bed moving his arm side to side incessantly and moaning with pain.... it hurts my heart a lot.... He can't talk words any more... can't drink anything, can't eat anything... hasn't drunk anything since last afternoon... his body is cannibalizing itself very quickly.. that is much more painful than to see him dead in a coffin...
Sorry for this posting but you touched the subject and I wanted to vent...

I can't imagine what you are going through, I have a feeling that he has just been hanging on, waiting for you to get there one last time. I know others that have done similar, is why I say that, hopefully he will go peacefully and you don't have a lot of trouble dealing with it..

I feel for you, and hate to mention it, but I just got back from a beautiful run to prudhoe, which is rare, the roads were better than normal and the weather was just beautiful. I stopped and my swamper took pictures of some musk ox, including a baby one up on the tundrs, then later I stopped on finger and he took pictures of 2 grizzlies, a blond and a brunette. lol
