    Yes... :biggrin_2553: I know... :biggrin_2553:
I have been living on my own, out of my parents' place since when I was 19.... didn't have a real close relationship with dad till I was in my mid 20's.... As I grew older and after I came to the USA, I became more and more used to the distance.... till I lost my mom... and then... living in solitude in a truck made me miss my dad more than ever.... He was all the family I had... I was his only "child"...
But that's ok... this will pass... this is life... and death is consequence of it... His body is dead... but his soul is forever somewhere...
Yes sir... his memories will remain for as long as I am alive.... Thank you so very much for the kind and comforting words...

Absolutely sir.... A VERY good man... I had been praying for the end of his suffering for a very long time.... watching his agony in bed.... and not being able to do much anything... other than moving his body from one position to another hoping that would make him a little less uncomfortable...
Yes... I am having my crying moments here and there... Haven't cried at the funeral, haven't cried in front of anybody... Actually I didn't watch him in the coffin... I was with him the whole time, saw him take his last breath... and then kept him in my arms, cleaning his face till the funeral people arrived to "prepare" the body and dress him, etc... Then, I didn't want to look at him any more....
I want to believe that he is already in a much MUCH better place now.... and for sure he would want me to go on with my life.... and that's what I will do...
Will wake up early tomorrow and go to the medical center in this little village to get some documents and then to another place, a notary for more documents... then, to another place to start sorting things, etc...
And after all that, will fly to Rio de Janeiro to deal with properties, etc, etc... There's A LOT to do.... before I go back to the USA...

7-UP, PoleCrusher, Eldiablo and 8 others Thank this.

I don’t know what to say dear @Rocks.

As difficult as it must have been For you to go through that, it would have been much worse if you hadn’t been there for him. I know he was happy you were there to send him home. Bless you both and prayers from Canada.
