This is the major road near my house.... traffic is intense.. and in the summer and vacations and Carnaval.. that area becomes extremely congested....
The panoramic picture "chopped" the images of the vehicles...

Just got back from Prudhoe. I slept at happy valley (no idea why it is called that) and got up at 5 this morning to the northern lights putting on a good show, but just white lights this morning, no bright colors.
I had told them I would leave out again in the morning, but found a bad carrier bearing while servicing the truck. I had thought I could feel a u-joint on the way in, and have plenty of spares, but no carrier bearings, so now will have to see if I can get someone to open up tomorrow. lol

The house has been empty for many years... I gave up dealing with the headaches and expenses of renting it out... the corrosion from the sea destroys everything very quickly... a big house in front of the beach needs a lot of constant maintenance...

My parents and I have tried to sell it many times before but were never successful... folks don't have money... they look for something smaller, cheaper... something that is not in such bad shape... I will have to sell it for the price of the land and hope and pray someone can buy while I am in Brasil... cause I have nobody I can trust to do it for me.

That looks like it was one fine house in it's time, it is a shame it could not have been kept up with. I was raised on the coast and sure understand what you are talking about, and the bigger and nicer they are, the harder and more expensive it is.

Ozark Ar. I seem to have lost my motivation somewhere back around Little Rock. Ohhh well maybe it’ll catch back up to me before I have to roll out of here.

Yes sir.. my parents bought the land back in 1980 and built that on their own.... it took them 15 yrs... back in the 80's till the 90's.... I stayed in that house several times... but never lived there... but have sent them a lot of money throughout the years to help... and even after mom died and dad moved out and rented it out... I continued spending money with that house....
Tenants destroyed things, robbed things... real state agencies never did what they were supposed to do... only charged me, lied to me and serviced me nothing...
That house is too big according to Brazilian standards... and folks in that area look for houses much smaller than that.... and cheaper... Now the house is in such bad condition, from the ground up, everything has to be replaced... and there may be some structural problems... and the ceiling is falling in so many places... and all the electrical system will have to be replaced, and so the plumbing, and there are problems with the sewage underneath the ground.... All those repairs might cost about U$25,000.00 if not more...
Besides, it's difficult to find reliable and qualified workers in that area... they don't know what they are doing, and they don't show up after a while...
If I intended to live there, I might consider fixing it up and doing something with it... but I don't plan on living there... :biggrin_25512:
