Where Are You Continues, Again.....

I have posted many pictures on another thread.. some from my last trip to the city of Rio and others from my walk on the beach this afternoon... Will post some of those here too...
I bet some of you know where that is... but just in case you don't.. the hill obstructed by the post is Sugar Loaf Mountain.. a very touristic place in the city of Rio.. people take a cable car from the ground to the first hill and then another one from that hill to the higher one... There used to be a night club on top of that hill back in the 80's.. I went there several times... also climbed the lower hill several times with friends back then...

 

Visited the building where I lived for 10 years... all my teenage years... Some of the windows on the center second floor are the apartment where I lived with my parents..


The place doesn't look like the same anymore... after decades... trees have grown, all that playground is new...


There were no trees there back when I lived there... and the new buildings.. they have more than doubled.. they tripled... it is kinda "weird" to see that place soo different...


That used to be a dirt lot where kids used to play ball... now is full of trees and seats... it's still quiet looks like... but almost like another place...


This is the view right in front of the front door of my building...


There were none of those things...
And this is the front lobby.. it used to be open.. but now there are video cameras, electric gate and bars all around for security...

 

This chimney has been there for over a century... not sure what used to be... it's where the dirt lot used to be... and now it's surrounded by vegetation...

 

The fruit hanging from this tree is called "jaca".. it's super super sweet and full of huge seeds inside... it's heavy and sometimes it falls off... making a mess on the ground...



This hill is right in front of my apartment where I used to live.. I loved to watch that hill.. it was very inspiring... my friends and I climbed that hill many times all the way to the top... Now there are many buildings obstructing the view and a big high fence obstructing the path to go up....

 

These scooters are new to me... I think they are used by the guys that work on the streets directing the traffic...


Here pictures of commercial areas in downtown Rio... narrow congested streets with lots and lots of stores.. I will do some shopping there before I go back to the USA.. if I still have some money left...

Wherever there's traffic, there are vendors walking and selling stuff...


Some even perform acts while the light is red.. like that guy with clown face.. can you see him on the picture below...?

 

Cool pictures, but no bikinis. lol keep them coming, it is always neat to see how other parts of the world live.
Which other thread are you posting pics in? I bet that is where all the bikini pics are. lol

 

I love these "things"... they are little cheese bread... very soft filled with cheese inside... bought half kilo the other day...

In Brasil, it's totally legal to drink alcohol anywhere, anytime, any day...



And there are lots and lots of vendors pulling carts and tents selling food and beverages and all sorts of drinks...

In Brasil it's very common for males to wear speedos... any age, any size and any shape...
