Gotta start looking for a new mattress for the new truck. The sni provided one that came with this truck is a POS.

I'm usually never one to have back pain unless I get stupid and do something I shouldn't. Woke up a couple times last night and it was so bad I was in tears. ...I'm no lightweight when it comes to pain tolerance either. It's past the new mattress break in period...

Today should be fun. I'm unloading a stein mart. Normally I like these runs as they are a lot of work, but I'm going to have to take it easy today.

Parked out back of the stein mart in concord, nc if anyone is curious. Got one more stop and then I'm homeward bound.

'Nother 30 minutes and I'll have to go knocking on their doors.

Well I didn't get to/have to turn a wrench on the Mitsubishi.6am seems to have arrived mere moments after I fell asleep. Hope that doesn't cast aspersions on my day!

Tolerance to pain? For me anything except my mouth! Been losing the enamel on my teeth for several years, and the last dentist I saw (over 7 years) was absolutely brutal, just reinforcing my trepidation of dentistry. Yesterday went to dentist for the initial exam (lost a couple fillings and some broken teeth issues) and they found an opening for "deep cleaning" at 1500 [how sweet of them!]...90 minutes later very weak in the knees they release me from the "chair of intentional torture" and home I go. The topical gel for numbing was tasty, like a Pina Colada...but that was the only good part. She didn't get the whole job complete, and surgery to remove two molars and one wisdom tooth was scheduled for next Thursday, so she so kindly found an opening Monday for the rest of the "deep cleaning" since it must be done before the surgery.

I'll admit it...I would rather go down Donner without brakes grossed out at 80k than go to a dentist! Just the sound of that drill on teeth scares the bejeezuss out of me! Next week is going to SUCK!

Two words Tom: Nitrous Oxide! Not in place of, but BEFORE they stick that needle in to "numb" you, which may or may NOT do it.
I don't have that problem with my mouth. I'm blessed to have the best dentist that I've ever had anywhere, just two miles away from the house.
BUT DON'T SCREW AROUND WITH MY TOES! I've had numerous broken toes over the years, (including two that are in the process of healing right now...) And I've yet to find a podiatrist that doesn't just send me through the roof. Had plantar warts for years. Periodically, I'd go to a podiatrist to get them shaved down.
After years of going back to podiatrists, I mentioned this to a small town doc. He burned them off, and they have never returned. Thought that was going to kill me though. . .
    Just call me a "tenderfoot."

Since Deb has to go down with me....it will be the full IV nightie nite. As I will be very "woozy" for perhaps many hours after the procedure.

Heh... There's one pain that'll knock me out or at the very least be a very disagreeable person. Oddly enough, it's a headache.

I've hiked down a mountain trail with a busted (not broken) ankle. Twisted a knee so bad that it would collapse underneath me. Dropped a full sheet of plywood in my toes. Fallen out of my truck. Had a bicycle accident where I rolled down a steep hill. ...okay, I'll quit. There's other stuff and I could go on for days. All of that and I'm back on my feet ASAP. A headache though? Nope.

Unloaded that trailer, all 11,900 lbs by hand. Stein Mart doesn't palletize anything, so each box has to be picked up and handed off the back. Had a pretty good day aside from how I slept and despite the fact that I dropped a full sheet of plywood on my toes.

Parked at the Jcp center in Forest Park again. Considering going home to sleep in my own bed, but it dawned on me that sni gave me two mattresses. I tossed the second one up into the other bunk thinking they were the same. If they aren't the same, then I'll give it a shot for sleeping in the truck. I sleep better with the rumble of the engine. Been that way since I was a kid.

Found out Roland was absent when Tom called.
Was going to have an 11:30 pick up down by the office. But instead got a 270# crate at SDV going to Cargolux. Then up to the southern part of Conroe for a 248# pallet going to Crowley.
Then went near Hwy 90 on the Beltway for a 270# pallet going to SDV.
Had heard about an 11' by 19" by 19". I said if they would load it on a slant. My headache rack down to the top of my liftgate.
    Also heard about 1800# 70" by 40" by 54" hazmat and a 31" by 30" by ? Non hazmat.

When I asked about those things after dropping SDV he said the 11' had to lay flat so he got someone else to do it. And the other load was a no go.

So from 2:30 until 5pm I ate lunch, read and played on my phone. Hit the road at 5:05.

Got the alternator out of the Sport.
Had meatloaf, noodles and sliced carrots.

Watching the Rangers make mincemeat of the Astros.
