Picked up 867# crate on the west Side of i-45
And a 1# carton on the east side.
    Took to SDV.
Trying hard to remember what #3 was and where I took it. Oh yeah picked up at J&T Tool two reed jacks. Pipe support things I guess.
To Bayer in Baytown. Ate lunch and allowed that I could be up by the airport in 45 minutes.
He misspelled three texts saying yes go up there.
From 2pm and had I but known that was it I could've been home by 3pm. But I stayed under a tree outside SDV until 4:55.
The Diesel Kleen seems to have done something good to my truck. So I stopped and got another bottle. Rolled in at 6:15.

Headed out to Memphis tonight. Soonish. Dragging my feet I guess?

Uneventful day yesterday. Just getting recertified by Schneider. Apparently the only bad habit I picked up was putting my 4-ways on in the yard.

    I'll keep it.

I'm approved to be Contracted/hired/lackied/micromanaged for another year.

Guess I should get to moving.

HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and Dave 1960 Thank this.

I talked to a driver for another company that I've friended. He said the back area of SDV as well as the airlines are almost empty and he thinks until Obummer is out it ain't gonna get much better.

When it's 100 degrees shade doesn't keep me from sweating. So I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. Is freight in general getting slow?

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

I agree with him it isn't going to get any better no matter what the mass media tries to make us believe..

It's even slow in my neck of the woods. When I started out I was easily getting 2200 miles plus unloads. I'm down to about 1700 on a good week. It makes a noticeable difference in pay, but not enough to jump ship over.

I'm hanging on until at least February if I can. It'll complete my year and after thanksgiving is the hot season for retail.

Not to get political... But I never understood the logic behind the president having control over the economy.

The economy is primarily consumer driven. In commercialism especially...

It's political in that he (Obummer) makes confidence impossible.Every day we hear about something else he has decreed.
Makes my life not much fun.

Hrm... From an indirect perspective I can see that.

It'd be like walking into a bank for a loan. You can have the most solid business plan the world has ever seen. ...but if you look like a hobo...

Parked at a shipper in Southhaven, ms getting loaded up. My last store wanted to talk about alcohol... (The last driver that delivered before me was 4 hours late and even Ragu couldn't hit the sauce as hard as this guy did. Don't worry. He has since been fired.). Kinda makes me want something nice and cold. The fact that it's barely 8:30 here and already starting to touch 90 degrees isn't helping.

    Thank God for air conditioning.
