Looks like the Alamo until tomorrow at least..
Addy on BOL is a unmanned fenced in lot with some high $$$ BMW's in it.......I've got a Ford on, something just didn't look right.... LOL
No number on BOL and Google seaches got me nowhere fast..
Text to the boss man got a reply of
"in Gettysburg on my Harley all that info is in my truck"...
The broker must not have weekend dispatch 'cause nobody picked up the phone..
so here I set at the J... -
So... Last week I had some headache dealing with a heavy load, trying to make it legal on all axles... And couldn't because the 5th wheel was stuck and Mr. maintenance boss had told me not to "mess" with it... So... after going to truck stop twice, scaling the load 3 times, sliding tandem and almost all day wasted, shipper unloaded trailer and we lost the load...
DSP got me another load right away which I pick on the following day in Houston and took it to company warehouse in Ontario, CA.
Yesterday was able to get 5th wheel unstuck and I intend to move it whenever it's necessary. Will address this issue with Mr. maintenance and another person when they are in the company tomorrow.
Now parked at a dock in my company warehouse, empty.
Will pick up another load about 10 mins from here in a couple hrs but don't want to move just yet.. They go by appt. only, no place to park but on the street... no reason to start my clock so early...Vilhiem and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
The byatch told me "about $400" when I asked what the advance for fuel did to my check.
Today she presented me a check a bit less than half of that. I want to choke the life out of her.
Had three pick ups at Pipeline Packaging.
Two pallets 11 metal drums and 1 plastic drum.
Went to Centauri off Fairmont Pkwy.
Went back and got 6 30 gallon plastic drums on a pallet and 5 yellow metal salvage drums.
Dropped the yellow drums at a place I went Friday called Albemarle. Then took the 6 to Equistar in the Channelview Lyondel plant.
Sent empty at 4pm. Deathly silence.
Wanted to hit a 99 Only store.
But found a Dollar Tree.
Got some decent pens for 50 cents a piece.
Stopped and got chili for hot dogs when I got home. Will be asleep before much longer.chopper103in Thanks this. -
Dave, don't you have some way of keeping track of what you should be getting paid? Sounds to me like it is something you should do for a couple of reasons. First off, of course, is to make sure you aren't getting screwed, (and if you are, take your figures to payroll and get it worked out,) and second is so you don't get nasty surprises like this.
With the exception of a few jobs where I was on a flat salary, I always kept track of my hours/miles/extras pay, whatever. It paid off big time when I worked for KNIGHT. Problems there with every paycheck, I mean EVERY one. But one phone call to payroll, usually got it straightened out. (You'd think that after they got tired enough of dealing with correcting it, they'd stop trying to screw you over, but nope, not a chance.)Vilhiem and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
Mount Vernon, Tejas at the Texas BBQ Coral for lunch..
Went into Mercedes in Grapevine today to pick up a Merc...It's funny how when I walk into any dealer the jerkoff salesman are all over me...Then, after they find out they won't be making any $$$ off me, they want nothing to do with me..
Boss man got an LOL out of that when I mentioned it, "don't pay them no mind yer prolly making double what most of them are".. -
I'm sitting under a tree.
But not outside SDV.
Instead at an Exxon station near 1960 and 1960B.
I've asked dispatcher twice or three times what today's runs pay. He keeps saying he hasn't rated them yet.
I'm TRYING!Big Don Thanks this. -
Just for my clarification here, are you saying that you make runs prior to knowing what they are going to pay you? I'm not being critical in any way, just trying to understand your operation there.
chopper103in Thanks this. -
It used to be that except for special runs I did exactly that. Now I'm attempting to know what each run pays or at least what I made in a day.
The odd part to me is if the customer doesn't even yet know what it's going to cost how/why did they give us the run in the first place?
I don't believe Roland is trying to mess with me. However I don't harbor the same feelings about the other people at the office.
I'll ask again what yesterday paid this morning,
By the way the year is going by like crazy. This week however doesn't seem to be moving at all. It's only Wednesday!Big Don Thanks this. -
Collierville, TN..
Just off loaded the Merc, waiting to get paid..chopper103in Thanks this.
