It's way more work to be home than it is at work. Straightened up my front bumper. Changed the icky spoog in my engine to oil. We washed the truck for the first time in a LONG time.
We put a tarp up over my bedroom
because my ceiling is mighty close to falling.
My buddy once sprayed some white coating on the back half of the house.
The whole back half is going rotten.
Ain't life swell. -
Sure is quiet here. About to be asleep for at least another 3 day week. Raining HARD on and off. Good thing that tarp is up there!

I have been in CA since Monday... brought a load from Vermont... went thru some snow in NM...
But escaped the worst of it...
Weather was nice in AZ... very VERY cold, but not one cloud in the sky...
Here in California, near LA has been sunny and warmer...
Except up in the high hills... there was fog, some drizzle and freezing temp yesterday going up on I-5
Had a highway patrol behind me yesterday... pulled me over because I passed a slow truck on an "improper" lane (3rd lane from the right)... Sign said "Trucks Use Right Lane"... There were many slow trucks going 30 mph using those two right lanes and another one passed them on the 3rd lane from the right... I was empty and could go much faster... So I got behind him and passed everybody and immediately moved to the very right lane....
Unfortunately I failed to see highway patrol behind me when I did that...
But fortunately and THANKFULLY the officer didn't give me any citation... not even a warning... After talking for a couple minutes and making some notes on his little notepad, he said would give me a break that time...
Now I am taking my 10 at my company warehouse in Ontario, CA and will leave at 4:30 am CA time... -
California is a place I'd rather never go.
Yesterday was a two day again.
Ceva to Target in Baytown 1plt 105#
Back up to Ceva 1plt going to Target in Galveston 103# (must have been a difference in pallet weight because both pallets had the same contents). Paid 52.xx and 116.xx
He sent you can go home after this one. Not like I wanted to go home then.
Our most direct like us company doesn't seem to be doing any better. Every time I go into Ceva dozens of O/O trucks are setting idle.
Gonna see what the first full week of 2016 looks like. Then I am probably going to have to jump ship.Rocks and chopper103in Thank this. -
Went to town. Parked at the Truck Stop a bit north of BW8. At 9am I sent is anyone there. He sent nothing yet. I played on my phone and read. At 11am I sent still nothing? He didn't answer. At 2pm I sent are y'all still there.? At about 3pm I'm out of here. He sent go home.i sent in three weeks I'll be lucky to get a penny. Ceva hasn't got anything? He sent no sir. I sent what a load of ****. Later I sent I consider myself on call tomorrow. Won't leave home without a good reason. He sent 10-4.
I'm not pleased in the least.....chopper103in Thanks this. -
americanmadetrucker and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this.

By the shear number of Ceva O/O trucks and the condition of some of them that doesn't look promising. And I'm still on borrowed time with my truck....
chopper103in Thanks this.
