Went by the Ford dealer on the way home to get our deposit back and our folder of info.
Just as HR predicted the dealer played with me.
As it stands now they are trying to work up a deal we would accept. I signed a paper saying my Sister is allowed to get the check and folder.
Wish I could be a fly on the wall when my Sister (the irresistibly force) meets the dealer (the immovable object]. Should be fun. Of course our neighbor Rita is taking Sister to the dealer. She could talk the spots off a Leopard!

Sister and I are going tomorrow. I'll be the good guy and she'll be the bad guy. And of they give us any trouble we'll sick Rita on them! Buddy of my Cousins husband has a 1999 Chevrolet 2500 gasser with 170-180k on it.
It could quite possibly be the next truck.
But supposedly there are at least two other trucks to go see about....

Was told about an 03 F350 today with 230k for 5k.
But if I'm not mistaken an 03 has a 6 litre PS.
And 5k is more by twice than what we have.
Thursday evening we are supposed to see a very nice 180k mile 1999 Chevrolet 2500. $2,500 firm.
If it's as nice as I hear it shall be mine.
And he is not actively selling it so I'm not going to be fighting for it.

I spend "Halloween" driving till one am central time... then, parked in the back of a pitch dark dirt lot next to a small fuel station east of Denver, CO. There were a few trucks and 3 four wheelers... All very quiet... :biggrin_25518:

Good grief. Yesterday I had 8 delivery tickets.
Today merely 2. Overall it seems like it's slowing down.
I sincerely hope the truck we are going to see on Saturday is half as nice as I've been led to believe.
Because if Hitlary wins as my Sister thinks a truck note is the last thing we would need!

Well it happened kiddies. I have a truck.
Immediately after starting it there was no blue smoke.
It runs and drives quite alright for a 1999.
Blue Chevrolet 2500 Silverado Crew. 5.7L gas.
Had to do some surgery on the rattling dash.
Put some screws where there should have been some to keep the instrument panel from freaking out.
Made some 'washers' out of plumber tape to stop all the rattling. Had heck getting the AC/Heat fan to run but finally got that going. 4 very good tires and it came with two brand new replacement tires. Cloth interior.
Cool that it's 4 door. Allows easy access. Allows small light boxes that need to stay dry.
Only flaw right now. The back doors will not lock or unlock with the fob or the buttons on the front doors.
I reckon a lot of the time the driver side back door will stay unlocked. When I'm sure the Fob works well I will probably keep the fob and a key with me and leave one in the truck like I did with the Dodge.

If the home computer will ever actually right or we get another one I'll put up a pic or two.
