The Montero apparently stopped charging and had a dead battery off the South Loop.
But a former neighbor went to help them.

They got home a little before 7 and me 7:15.

I have exactly $100 in my wallet and a bit over half a tank of fuel.
Mechanic says he needs a special tool to rebuild my steering rack.

Life just gets better all the time .... NOT.

 

Sittin at the house with a load of soybeans in the hopper. Kinda waitin on the Marion scale to close. I could go around it at exit 10 but those tracks are awful close to my hopper doors. The way it's loaded I sure don't want to hang it up. Guess I better move pretty soon lines are bad at the port on Friday's, why they are worse I have no clue but they are

 

Ft Worth at the PEElot. The Thunderbirds held a practice session at the airport across I35W this afternoon... front row seats in the parking lot. Very cool.

I both welcome and dread Friday. Could be great like 2 or 3 drums going way out of town.
Could be awful like pick up in Conroe at 5:30 and deliver to Deer Park or Texas City.
No way to predict.

It's about 2:30 am central time... I am finishing my meal in the truck and still gotta finish up my plans for tomorrow run, do the dishes, brush my teeth, pray and go to bed...

Was loaded in CA today.... Receiver in TX gave a few choices for delivery time.... Monday at 1 am or 2 am or 4 am... or Monday at 17:00... I pick Monday 4 am BUT if I arrive on Sat around 16:30 they will unload me... So... I am pushing in this slow truck to be there on Sat and reset before my next load on Monday...

Was going to park at a rest area in AZ but the darn place was closed for repairs or whatever... Soooo.... I decided was going to use all my hrs and get to Petro at 22:15 AZ time... But when I saw the big dirt lot across from Petro, I didn't think twice... Parked right there... Much better... Very easy in and out... Just cross the street and can use restroom and buy ice... And the few trucks parked here are all very quiet... I like that... Y'all have a good nite/day... and be safe...

Woke up at the port this morning. Last truck to fit in this little staging area. At least I was able to get the truck and trailer to a high mirror shine makes me feel better bout being last somehow

 

Got loaded pretty quick today which shocked the hell out of me..

Blacksburg now for a late lunch/early dinner then to the yard.
