Pulled the knobs at the homestead. got a lil shorty for first thing Monday, then grab an icebox and head for the western side of the world. Gonna catch up on some TV watching, maybe even saddle a horse. Who knows? Anywho yall have a good weekend and tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel! We out!

 

At 6:57AM I get a text to pick up at Wells Dynamic. In Spring, TX which for all practical purposes is Halliburton. Waited almost 1.25 hours to find out I wasn't getting a 7# carton as the company didn't want to break up and send everything together.
He had texted number two as a pick up of 4 crates Hazmat at Murphy going to Air France.
But he calls and says Carl was not working today and it was my choice to go to Stafford or not. But I did and it took 30 minutes to get a 4# carton.
Then I was told to pick up 2 pallets at TFE Group for SDV.
Did so and took all to SDV . Then went to Murphy and got the 4 crates.
After dropping Air France I went to Hazmat Packing for a 145# pallet of Hazmat.
Then to SDV for paperwork. Then loaded 5 cartons 4 of which were Hazmat.
Took all that to Cargolux.
Went back to SDV for a 4x4x4 crate at 648# which went to Lan Cargo.
No further communication so logbook and paperwork and headed home.

 

Just ran and ran today.... fuel and short version of 30 min mandatory break... Now parked at a almost empty Valero in NM not very far from TX border.... there's another independent truck stop across the highway but I chose this one cause it closes at night... therefore, less trucks... more space and more quiet...

Will be at receiver tomorrow in time for them to unload me... Then, will have to find a place to park overnight... Walmart nearby would be great cause I need to do my groceries... On Sunday will head to a stinky Pilot north of Fort Worth for shower and finish my reset...

Home without a plan to do much of anything.
Last week isn't going in the books as one of the better ones.
Doesn't appear that I'll be able to snag a DSLR body before I go to Texas World Speedway.
Mechanic says he can get and replace the upper ball joints in my truck.
Online it appears that one must buy a complete upper control arm with joint and bushings.
Somewhere in there is the truth....
