Where Are You Continues, Again.....

Pulled up at the house for a few hours. I'm really gonna have to buggie to unload reload and be OKC by 7 pm

 

Sigh. Sat at the truck stop until 9:45.
Sent a text to the mechanic asking about my truck.
He says he's still working on it.
Get sent to MW Industry for a pallet with 4 open top drums on it.
Roland had mentioned a weight but I decided 1000#.
Too it to Sumner.
Sat there empty for another hour.
Get sent to Tech Seal very close to Sumner for a 395# pallet going to Crowley.
Sit there empty for a while.
Get sent to Aztec Galvanizing for a basket 222# going to Sumner.
Was told before I got to Aztec that when I dropped at Sumner I would pick up going to Vanguard. But it was 1.25 hours getting the Aztec so I told him if he had another driver please put him on the other guy.
I get to Sumner at 4:30. The other guy was just getting loaded as I arrived.
But at least if he didn't get there before they closed he only had to get to Pasadena from the Hobby Airport area. So that number 3 was it for me.
Got home 6:30. Dinner. T.V.. Be asleep in not much more than 30 minutes.

 

Got a load this morning... pick up in Dallas... less than 15 mins to get loaded with 20 pallets... Now at some mom and pop truck stop on I-40 TN... Got here in the dark and under rain... No lights in the back here... lots of pots and holes... but found me a good place to park... Driver next to me said someone tried to steal his fuel last time he was here... More trucks arrived tonight and parked right in the middle of the small lot blocking everybody else... So be it... It's still raining... I think it's going to rain all night long... I gotta go now...

 

Still at the house..

I suppose I better get back to work at some point this staying home is getting expensive.

Did get a really good ride in last night on the chopper and as a added bonus I set off not one but two car alarms... :smt077

 

Back on the west coast. Sitting in Tacoma at shipper on there dock. Got a portable close by. Its not the beach. Buts its water....

 

Another rather unproductive day.

Sent empty at 3:45. Left for home 5:15. Tried to early vote but the place I would have to use is only open 8 to 4:30. Put $25 diesel in the Ford.
Mechanic says if things go well I'll get my truck tomorrow.
Got home 6:45. Spaghetti. T.V. and mere minutes from being asleep.

 

Ran, ran and ran today... Arrived at this HUGE truck stop in Raphine, VA tonight and found a "good" spot at the end near the shop...
I didn't know... but there is a shuttle van here that gives rides to the drivers to and from the restaurant in the building... I know the building is a little far from the very end of this parking lot... but c'mon... these fat truck drivers need some exercise...
Me, I don't have time to go anywhere... Had my meal in the truck and going to bed now... Will start driving at 4:40 am central time and told my DSP will be at receiver at 11 am DE time...
After empty, will pick up another load in PA and rush to IN.... Gotta go to bed now... Y'all be safe and have a good one...
