Hey, I might be wrong... but I think I read you posted somewhere (can't remember where) that you made lots of miles (can't remember how much exactly) on a week... Now I ask you... will you be able to make the same with the ELD? Are you going to be exempt from it for a while?

 

Haven't run these many miles in one day lately... 703 miles... but was pushing to get to where I wanted yesterday... and I made it.... BTW... this truck is governed at 65 mph...

Today almost repeated the same... but decided to stop 30 mins earlier just in case Mr. Maintenance authorizes replacing one tire here tomorrow... I am at a Pilot that has a tire shop in NM near AZ... taking a 34 reset before I resume my trip to AZ.....

 

No I'm exempt for a while my truck is a 1990 model. I don't feel we will be exempt for long though

 

There has been a couple times when I almost wish I was on a elog just back these people off a little bit..

 

I agree... I heard somewhere that these exemptions will be for 90 days...
HOS must be re-evaluated and changed to allow more flexibility... folks have been trucking on paper and have been able to "make things work" so far but now, with this mandate, I think A LOT will change...
