And I'm still in the same spot I was yesterday... decided it wouldn't make a bit of a difference moving anywhere as there's not one good or better spot in this parking lot... And I'll not leave early in the morning...
Other drivers and I "helped" 2 other drivers to back into their spots tonight...
And I sat on the driver seat, reading my book and monitoring the empty spot to my left for hrs till a driver came and backed into it... Thankfully he was an experienced one... Actually, looks like no megas come to this back row where I am... it's tight and too dark...

Temp was good during the day and the sun came out... but it got cold at night and I have my heater on 80F right now...

Hey... Mr. @Tall Mike and Mr. @BigBob410 ... you guys talking about companies buying new trucks... are these new trucks automatics? I think many companies are buying those now because they save a lot of fuel... I hear some can make 10 mpg....
My company is replacing their whole fleet with automatics because of fuel saving... I "tried" one without trailer in the yard and hated it... it doesn't "feel" right...
When "my" truck expires its warranty in less than a year or so, they will put me in an automatic and I may try for a couple weeks so not to say I didn't try but I am not looking forward to it...

So far all our new trucks are 18 speeds.
I had heard that one of the trucks he parked when the elog mandate came down was automatic.

 

Yeah... I hope I'm wrong... but I think that in the near future, non-automatic trucks will be a thing of the past... at least company trucks...
And as if that wasn't enough, more and more "safety" gadgets are going to be required in new trucks like stability control systems, along with lane departure warning, on guard system, etc, etc...

Some of ours are autos...I hear. I drove an automatic at my last company it wasn't too bad. The only thing I didn't like was Sometimes it got "confused" and took a minute to find a gear. The dealership told me I was easing into and to just mash it to the floor! Lol. I've heard alot of people say they don't like backing up with them but I was in a car carrier and running local so I never tried easing into a dock.
