    Smart gal...:thumbright:

You certainly wouldn’t want any unpleasant surprises after fueling, not to mention what a colossal pain in the begonias it is to have to stop for fuel every 200 miles. :biggrin_2552:

Stopping every 200 miles.... :biggrin_2552: Yeah... been there... done that...
One time, shipper's scale showed that each axle was fine, so I left the plant but a little skeptical cause I don't trust much shippers' scales... :biggrin_25512:
Closest truck stop with scale was 100 miles away.... and it showed 34,120 lbs or so on my drives with a little less than 3/4 of full tanks... That was in OK...
Since I have an APU, I get a 400 lbs exemption on my drives... only 4 or so states don't recognize that exemption... one of them being CA and I was going to CA... :biggrin_2552:
So, I kept my tanks' levels where they were, not filling my tanks completely each time I fueled... and before I arrived in CA I had to keep only 1/4 of tank full not to exceed 34,000 lbs on my drives... Kinda of a pain... :biggrin_1square8:

And one more thing... the problem is when there's no truck stop with scales nearby the shipper.... closest one being over 50 miles away... I know the maximum weight the truck can legally take... but sometimes... I may fill up the tanks and pick up the load... and when I get to a scale, find out I am overweight on one axle and can't get all axles legal... and have to go back to shipper... :biggrin_2552:
My company does pay us for the extra miles in this case... but if it's late and/or a Friday and the shipper will be closed... :angry3:
So... sometimes I have to consider if it will be easier to have my tanks totally full before picking up a heavy load...
My experience with heavy loads is that when the load is very heavy but there are only a few pieces, it's not easy to get legal on all axles... unless the shipper cut the load short of re-arrange that...
I just hate very heavy loads....
