The other driver is real quiet. Stays in the bed a lot. ..... Matter of fact, all the time. But Mike let's them stay cause they take care of the logbooks. He's the invisible man.

And I am in sunny warm OKC.... :yes2557:
In my company's terminal after delivering this afternoon at this place...

    107_8434.JPG
That was ALL the room in front of the docks... As I have written several times here, I am not a good backer... but I'm not a terrible backer either... That place had very little room in front of the dock... and that was the street... with some vehicles coming and going constantly...
So.... the loader saw me taking a while... maybe 10 mins or so and told me to run over the grass on that field... :biggrin_2552: REALLY??
I told him, NO... that would damage the equipment... (But what I was thinking was that no way I would run over the curb and on that soft grass, damage the grass and might damage something or get stuck on the curb... and there was no need for that...) :biggrin_25512:
And he said, "Oh... guys do that all the time...":biggrin_2554::biggrin_2552:
Well... I said, guys may do that because they don't care about their equipment... but we do... we are very careful and we don't go running over curbs and grass....

The guy said, OK ma'am... do whatever you want... but I think he got a little upset with me... But hey... F him... :angry1: No one is going to tell me how to back the truck and run over curbs and grass to speed it up... I take my time and do it slowly...
The trucks they had there were small straight box trucks and another day cab with a 48' or smaller...

This is a panoramic view of the place...

One more thing, I don't believe anybody runs over that grass... there were no marks of tires on the curb or the grass... that guy was playing with me... :angry2:

And I am SOOOO HAPPY that I cried... :biggrin_2553: with happiness.... :D
I'm in my company while truck is being serviced... regular PM (preventative maintenance)... and Mr. Director of Operations came to me and told me that they will keep my truck for another whole year.... :blob5::blob7::blob8::blob4: I AM SOO HAPPY!!
I had been thinking what I was going to do if they got rid of that truck... as the 400,000 miles approaches and they generally replace those trucks with newer ones... The next ones will be brand new automatic...
AND I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE AN AUTOMATIC TRUCK... :biggrin_25512: I don't feel safe in an automatic truck....:biggrin_25512:
But I really like my company... and don't know of another place to go yet... :biggrin_25512:
So.... I had been thinking.... feeling sad... trying to figure out what I would do... and having a hard time with that...
Mr. Director of Operations offered me a brand new automatic truck... but he knows that I want to stay in "my" truck... and I bursted in tears of happiness when he said I could stay one more year in the truck... :biggrin_25519:
That was DEFINITELY THE BEST NEWS I got this year... :yes2557:

So... I may not even go to Brasil this year as I was considering... But who knows the future... shall see...

Still sitting here in north Texas..

Shipper says they made it clear the load wouldn’t be ready until later today.
Boss man and broker say otherwise, someone is lying and I don’t like it.

My experience is that generally it's the broker and the DSP...

But also.... info goes thru folks and things change sometimes... so it's possible the broker and your boss man are not aware of something else... communication problem...
