Running hard an never seeing the house... that fits my profile... And heck, the truck IS my house...
If I didn't mind having to learn how to drive a 18 speed... is that what those trucks are? and maneuvering a tractor with such long nose (but very cute), I would like to sign up... specially if the engine were prior to 2000 and the truck were not governed...

 

What does that mean? "With 2 sticks and a tooth pick"... is that some trucking lingo?

 

Twin stick transmission. (Two boxes).

 

That comes from years ago when most trucks had 2 stick transmissions. The cow haulers of that era soaked tooth picks in a horse medicine to keep them awake.


I just use it as a west bound at a high rate of travel deal

Yeah... I had a suspicion it had to do with transmission...

 

Yeah... I heard about those tooth picks on the Road Dog radio...
That brings me memories from 1980 when in Brasil with my boyfriend, hitchhiking with truckers... some would drive night and day without sleep.... And go down hills in neutral....

 

Ok... and before I go to bed again... let me say that I am at another rest area this time in VA... BTW... that I-81 VA is a pain when it's full of vehicles....
I decided not to park at that Pilot in Harisonburg.... I guess most of you who travel on that road know that truck stop... the parking spaces are too tight and there's little room between the rows... all the parking spots are "odd" IMO... Got a much better parking spot at this rest area...
I'm about 4 hrs away from receiver in PA... delivery is scheduled for 21:30 tomorrow... Don't like that...
But will leave very early here and get there in the morning... maybe someone cancels and they take me early... if not, I will park in a small fuel stop nearby and take another 10 before delivery...
Looks like it's going to rain some...
