May I say.... I HATE THE NORTHEAST IN THE USA...
I hate everything about the northeast... I hate the roads, the streets, the traffic, the shippers and receivers, the docks, the drivers, the weather, the truck stops, the lack of parking, so forth and so on...BigBob410, chopper103in and MagnumaMoose Thank this. -
Have been doing day driving this week and going thru PA, VA, NC, SC, GA, TN and thru A LOT of traffic jams every day...
Missing some of that nice and peaceful night driving...
chopper103in and MagnumaMoose Thank this. -

And today was such a day...
First, went to deliver a load in a plant... the guard wasn't sure where to send me...
Told me to go to dock #6... and go thru a "tunnel"... That looked like a tube... kinda tight for my truck and trailer...
The folks there said trucks go thru that all the time...Yeah... right...
and they scratch their roofs there too... as one can see those damages on the top of the "tube"...
And not all trucks are the same size and the same width...
It was still dark and I couldn't see very well the corners of the trailer top... So, I called the supervisor and asked him to watch my roof and help me to go thru that tube without scratches... And so he did...
Leaving that tunnel intact was a great feeling...
After I opened the trailer doors, slit the tandems and backed to dock #6, they told me that was the wrong dock and I should go to dock #1...and that I would have to go thru that "tube" again...
So... again I asked someone else to watch while I went thru the thing... and the yard jockey helped me...
So... I opened trailer doors again, slid the tandems again and backed to dock #1...
Went inside and they said that was the wrong dock too...and I should go to dock #4...
And there I was, backing all the way to that dock...
Finally, that was the right dock... took me 1 hr 30 mins to get to the right dock and 30 mins to be unloaded....4mer trucker, BigBob410, chopper103in and 1 other person Thank this.
