Where Are You Continues, Again.....

And told my dispatchers today... "enough with Atlanta"... give me a break... I want to go west...
Had enough big cities traffic jam this week and the last ones... I am done... I need some of those 2,000 mile runs from east to west... where I can relax and enjoy my audio books...
Delivered this morning, staged at the receiver and then ran to next shipper, reloaded, went thru more Atlanta congestion... and now parked in a great spot at VA welcome center...
Gonna try to find a good place to park tomorrow in NY... Bye, bye...

 

Saw A LOT of accidents on the road today.... 4 wheeler, big trucks, jackknifes, rollovers, you name it...
It has been raining buckets all day... since last night... drove from VA to NY...
And now parked where I wanted... this BIG empty truck stop on I-87 NY...





There's a service plaza about 5 miles down the road but I wanted to check this place out... the parking lot looks much bigger than the one at the service plaza... and much quieter either...
There was only one other truck here and I think someone came and pick the driver up...

Called this place this morning and was told the parking is free... But when I checked in with the attendant, was told it would be $10.00... 10 BUCKS??
Ohhh no.... then I would rather go down to the service plaza... But the gentleman manager said "OK" he would let me stay for free...

There's a restaurant here and a inn... I was hoping they would have Indian food at the restaurant... but they have American "comfort" food.... I don't want it... Will keep cooking in the truck...
Leaving very early Monday morning to deliver in Vermont... and then, will head to my company warehouse in PA for a drop and hook and then to a special delivery event in WV... For events like those will have to get truck and trailer washed... cause the truck is the "star" at those "events"... folks love to take pictures in front of it... will have to stage there for 4 hrs...

 

That stupid camera is broken. It's always pointed the wrong way !

we may or may not have solved the worlds problems but we do know what they are

 

Well it aint bad other than every Eatin joint is closed cause of a broke water line that caused a boil order. So it was chili's.

 

This parking lot gets really dark at night... there are no lights here at all...
There was one truck here when I woke up this morning....
And the truck stop folks wanted to charge $10.00 for parking...?
Anyway... this is the parking lot this morning...

 

Thank goodness you got there early yesterday, looks like it was a madhouse trying to squeeze into a spot later.
