The morning thing did NOT survive first contact. Turned out to be more like 800# than 3000# but I wrote the delivery ticket for 1200# and **** 'em.
Then dropped the trailer and took some docs from SDV to a building on Jones rd. From there all the way to Deer Park for 54# in three cartons going up near the Airport. Then to Brittmore over on the West side of town for a 255# pallet. Then rush as much as possible in 4:30-5:00 Houston traffic to SDV to unload and then get them to put a 67x48x54 on my truck longways for Air France. At least it was 1045# to make up for the trouble!
5 down for the day. On a usual day my GPS shows 7-9 hours of sit still time. Today it was 6.5 hours because I was all over Houston!

so the swap I was suppose to wait on last night in Altoona Iowa arrived 14 hours late
scaled the load 80100 lbs
dispatch says so what's the problem?
maybe the quarter of a tank of fuel and a half full reefer
so I have an 1100 mile run to do in 30 hours
getting fuel every 200 miles and a couple of milk and cookie breaks
I told them I wasn't guaranteeing on time delivery
that confused them tooDave 1960, teddy_bear6506, TAK12LLC and 1 other person Thank this. -
