I walked through the door at home at 20:30

Did the Air France thing. 44xx#. Then was going to do a 1600# Carglux but SDV was stopped up with trucks. So dispatch set me to Baytown for 7K# going to Tyson Foods. Company made $215 off the load. After they skim off the top we'll see what I make. Then I went to almost Pearland for a pallet going back to SDV. A hurry up run to AF with two tall crates at 3087#. Back to SDV and get the 1600# I was supposed to have gotten earlier plus 9PC at almost 1000# and one pallet at 215#. Got the last of it off the trailer at 19:00.

IF they offer something juicy I'll work tomorrow. I ain't counting on it.....

 

Winnemucca nv. Got my 2 picks done by 1pm then got 500 miles down the road. That'll do Donkey!!

 

Have 2 days to get to Dallas so taking life at a leisurely pace this weekend. Had only been driving for an hour this morning but stopped at Talladega to do the tour and museum. There were cars on the track so couldn't go on it but pretty cool nonetheless.

Now, where to stop for supper is the next big decision.

Our terminal in Marietta, getting the amber "check engine" light investigated. Unfortunately, it won't happen until at least Monday.

I've heard several drivers that it doesn't mean much....very similar to the amber light that illuminates in many cars these days. But I'm hesitant to push things....anybody have any input on this little marvel of technological warnings?

Either way, I'm taking Sunday off because I've been busting it for almost two weeks, and I've got another two weeks out before home time. I can use a 34.

 

Boudin balls were great, jambalaya was mighty tasty and they got karaoke. I'm almost in heaven.
