Oh brother. Today did not go as planned.
Got the docs and check ok. Hooked the trailer and went to Lufthansa. Told the girl I hope everything is in this envelope.
It was, but the shipment was split. One piece came in yesterday. One on todays flight. Was told SHOULD be able to pick up around 5pm.

Sat a LONG time and got told about a pallet at 292# going to China Air. Then told pick up at TFE Group (no dims or weight given). Sat better than 30 minutes at SDV waiting on China Air. Blew it off for later since it had 6PM cutoff. Then ate lunch and went to TFE Group. Because unless I'm going pretty far across or out of town I will stay hooked to the trailer that I had hooked for Lufthansa. So I get over to TFE Group and my number gets me a small carton at 1#. Take it back to SDV and only wait about 15 minutes for China Air. Delivered that and sent empty at 2pm. And WAITED and WAITED. At 4 I called Lufthansa to see if I was getting the cargo. It had not cleared customs. Called dispatch, he called the place I was taking the stuff to, called me back and said we'll worry about it tomorrow.

Only 3 again like yesterday. And not one of them worth spit!

AND I got called at one point and told there is a driver meeting in the morning. 8am instead of the usual 7 but what the heck is so all fired important that we have to have one on such short notice????

To say I am in a rather foul humor would be QUITE the understatement!

Shakopee, back in the room. Meet a buddy here, had dinner and drinks, but had to vacate the bar. The barflys were making me nervous.

Sitting in my chair with an ice pack on my lower back, wondering why I have to go to work today. I'm off Friday, but it's a day filled with Dr appointments for the hubby followed by a couple of inspections, getting the oil changed in the car and tires rotated. If I'm lucky, we'll leave about 0600 and get home by 1800. And I want a day off, why?
