Oh deary me....
First load dispatched at 10:29 was pick up using truck only at FMC and take it to SDV.
Second (AND FINAL) load was get 9 pcs at about 2000# (and later <That load is Hazmat>) at Crane World Wide and take it to (Horror of Horrors!) Manchester Terminal Port of Houston.
Was only in there an hour. Coulda blown me over with a feather.
Boogied back up by SDV. Waited until 17:30 before unhooking. Talked to a Ford owner friend who was working on his 6.0. What a cluster fudge that motor is.
He wants a Dodge. I told him stay with the 5.9 motor. It seems some 2007 were still 5.9.
Anyhow rolled in at 19:00. Oh and my check this morning was not something to jump for joy over. And the very reasonable $150 in labor will be taken out of my escrow because I am pretty sure taking it out of a check would hoover greatly! -
Sitting near Macon, GA, empty and waiting to see where we go next.
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
Franklin OH at the PEElot. Evidently my ice got thinner recently.
I did however show up at my receiver about six hours early, and get unloaded right away. Got another short one set for tomorrow.
Left mirror got hit by a Swifty this afternoon... fortunately the thing is hinged. Mostly got some white paint on it. Had to chase him through the parking lot a bit in order to holler at him.

Well started yesterday morning off by P-off a pumpkin. Coming out of the eastern terminal of the KS turnpike, they funnel to a single lane, the right lane, for construction. Well I was in that right lane, the pumpkin was in the left, and had to merge to the right. I was along side him, he was gassing it, I didn't slam on my brakes so his lordship could have the right of way. Needless to say I was called a moron, and shown I was number 1. PFFFT to him.
Anyway I'm loaded for a return trip to KCMO off of Blue Parkway, much much better than the one we just finished. Yesterday morning when I pulled in, another one of our veteran drivers, with several years driving, caught a concrete "block" with a trailer tire, which caused it to go BOOM!! Whew, of the 4 times going in there, I've always had the feeling that "I" was going to be the one doing that. Man it was tight getting into and out of there. Glad that contract is done!! -
Eaton18 Thanks this.

Finally back on the road but now sitting in STL, waiting for them to make enough flour that I can haul away the remains.

Picked up pop-n-fresh dough packages this morning in Richmond IN, delivered same at lunch in New Albany. Now in Lebanon loading some kind o' frozen stuff, heading for OH. That'd be in the AM, because I'll be upso on the hours pretty quick!

I prefer to think of it as semi-mobile.
