Nails are all trimmed and filed, now it's time to go to bed and give my leg a rest.

Hmmm. Rolled in 10 before 20:00. Did my morning run then stayed on the off duty line for 3 hours. Took 3500 or so next, then went to get a 35# which turned into 2 pc at 40# at FMC.
Then get told to BOOGIE to a pickup. Down by Hobby Airport. Not told what I was getting or where I was taking it. Ended up with 3K# going to an address on FM529 off US290. Somehow I put FM249 in the GPS and that took me kinda out of the way...

After I dropped that I was told to get back to SDV and he'd send me the info. I hadn't got the info before arriving, but the shipping guy knew what I was taking and it was on the trailer and about halfway strapped down before I got the first text and was in the drivers seat when I got the second one.

The usual people at Air France Cargo are not around so I was there longer than usual was why I got home late. I have a morning pickup not very far from SDV at approx. 30#. Hope I don't do 3+ off duty again after that!

Thank you for the idea... may try that next time. Yesterday was rush/rush cause I had a preplan picking up at 8 am this morning... had time only to drop loaded trailer, bobtail to WM store for my 10 and rushed back to DC this morning to hook to an empty (maybe should have hooked to mpt yesterday)... and headed to shipper this morning. Two p/ups and then rushed to delivery... drop and hook again and now at a Kwik Fill in PA about 2:30 from my next shipper in Pittsburgh. This truck stop here has a hotel right in here... If Pete and Patty were here, they would certainly check in. The smell of the food from the restaurant is all over the parking lot.

 

I think it is supposed to be ending soon but between Madison and Janesville, you could barely see the road. Some of the heaviest rain I have ever seen.
