I remember way back when walmart first got into groceries, they were the best place to deliver. Pulled tanker for ten years, then went back to reefer, and it was "What the heck happened to this place??" I don't recall which one, but I hit the gate 20 minutes before appointment time, and it took 25 minutes to clear as I was 5 or 6 trucks back. I get inside, and of course I'm in line again at the window. By the time I get to the window, it's been almost an hour since I first arrived. As you can see coming, the woman looks at my bills, says "you're late you'll have to reschedule." It didn't matter that if she'd looked up, my once smiling face would have been looking her way for the last half hour. Refused to call her supervisor.

Thankfully, I was leased to PBX, who was owned by IBP, so a phone call from somewhere up the food chain was made to Walmart. I got a call to head back inside, and got the great pleasure of being rudely told to go away. Followed very shortly by a page to return to the window. I'd gone upstairs to make another call when the page came, so I was back at the window in a flash. Her royal rudeness was none too happy, but I did get that oh so rare pleasure of seeing a minion find out they didn't have quite as much stroke as they thought they did.

And now I'll see if I can get this last hour of sleep I really want to get!

I rolled in about 19:30 last night. Almost before I even got in the door good my Sister called with Jeep trouble. So I rolled BACK down to Porter to get the thing fixed.
Rolled back in 21:30 and hit the sack fairly hard.

    Another day. Another adventure.
