Monday wasn't TOO bad for a Monday... Got one little box maybe 12 minutes from SDV to SDV.
Got 2 bundles of what turned out to be bags and took them to Katy.
Got a Pelikan Case at SDV and took it to Air France.
Got a pallet at FMC and took it to SDV.
Hooked the trailer and went to get three pallets of Hazmat (Which when I first got there I was told it had already been picked up) and drug them to La Porte.

5 Delivery tickets for a Monday MIGHT be a record.......

Bakersfield delivered now waiting for Ms. Elogs to get that 10 issue completed.....then Bakersfield p/u and up to Wilsonville!

Interesting weather out here on the left coast over the weekend....couple trucks blown over in Washoe Valley (US 395, south of Reno, north of Carson City), wind restrictions south of Topaz and north of Bishop....tornado in South Seattle, now flood warnings for Seattle and West Washington!

To think we only used to worry about earthquakes and volcanos....now we are dealing with that east coast midwest stuff!

Who's in charge of that weather machine now?:biggrin_2551:

I had a day. Craziest thing was pick up in Tomball and deliver in La Porte and it was two little plastic bags with 6 things in one and 3 things in the other.

Most aggrivating thing was some people think since you are going to the same place they can put two or three pick up numbers and Airway Bills on one ticket. One time when it would have been a minimum payer I made a second ticket. I should have done it the second time. The guys who load me said "they have always done this and no one else complains" I guess they don't know me very well. Stealing money from me gets my dander up just a little.

Hammer u can try--but according to my wife--its a lost cause im untrainable--barely housebroken according to her---lmao
Nah Logan--wish I could retire-- lil young 4 that yet--but as I posted couple weeks ago our little family has decided to go big--and all the BS that goes along w/it-- 5 of the top 6 senior drivers walked over labor day--all 20+ year guys--im not runnin off jus yet--got couple irons in fire--&still may buy another trk&trl--either way ill b gone by 1st of year(maybe much sooner) the 3d generation feels they have no choice but grow and move in that direction--I disagree--BUT--its not really any of my biz--they have all told me they DO NOT want to loose me--BUT they no they probably will --either way it will b amicable & while I MIGHT get used to driving a new sloe plastic truck( not)I won't accept the pay cut--I know what these loads pay--and even at this new mileage plus stop pay etc plan--im now running for about 15% of revenue and that's is just wrong--cuz it works out to just about a 50% cut
Oh yeah--Mire La--getting my Gumbo fix!

That sucks ! Sorry to hear that, 'olhand. That's the kind of thing that just ticks me off. No concern for screwing up a good deal if they can see a possible way to get more for themselves. Profit is one thing, Greed is another. "Expand or Perish" is not a good way to run a Business or a Country. IMHO, of course.

LOL!!! :biggrin_2559: Sounds like this place here....

    I was there yesterday....

That's the dock... Seems to me that I'll get A LOT of practice with the loads in this co.... this one was a CH R broker load...

Before backing, I had to "clean" the path... it was full of broken bottles, trash... :biggrin_2552:

Funny thing, a guy in a government vehicle, seems he was doing some survey on that street, watched me backing and then took a picture of me and truck sitting at the dock... :biggrin_2559:but I didn't take a pic. of him...:biggrin_25512:

So.... got this load about 10 mins from where I delivered the last one in UT and now going to IN. At a rest area in MO.

I'm at the Pilot across from the World's Largest Truckstop. Had a wonderful, brief vacation with family in NM. I'm headed to North Platte.
