Awwww hopefully the ice pack will get your swelling down. I had been in Kansas City since this morning. I went tonthe Nebraska furniture mart and I ♥♡ that place. I almost walked out with a ton of stuff but im check other places first. They had some really good pricing though.

Got my 8th load with this co. today. Pick up about 20 miles from where I was after dlvery this morning in IN and now going to lovely Oregon. But may have to go thru some bad weather...:biggrin_2552: and I am extremely light... only 6,000 lbs... :biggrin_2552: Saw another pretty bad accident on the road today but couldn't take any pic this time. It was a 4 wheeler. The vehicle rolled over and it felt on its roof... The driver was still inside car... Police, ambulance and fire truck were not there when I passed by but there were several people around trying to help. Then, there was a lot of traffic jam in Bloomington, IL... and the cause for that... all I saw was one vehicle parked in one of the middle lanes with his flashers on.... truck had to use the left shoulder to avoid hitting him... :biggrin_25513: Then, there was strong storm and flash flood... Oh well.... wondering what tomorrow and after tomorrow may have... Safe and sound at a rest area now. You all be safe out there.

    Dave 1960 Thanks this.

Here... another extremely quiet truck stop in NE :yes2557: except for the only truck/reefer right next to me.... I was the only one here.... then he/she came and parked right next to me... Didn't he/she have anywhere else to park? :biggrin_2552: There may be some more trucks when I leave very very early in the morning...

Went thru 2 other very strong flash floods this morning but so far, so good. Will go thru WY early early tomorrow morning.... Winds are very strong right now... hopefully they will not be more than 35 mph. Had a nice warm soup in the truck and going to bed now....:biggrin_25518:

Wished the winds would calm down here too. Fought them today until my truck broke down. The tension pulley failed and shredded the fan belt. Company sent a roadside repair from Emporia. He had the wrong pulley, as the KW shop in Emporia didn't have it. So he "McGyvered" it to work so I could get back to our shop. Dispatch really didn't like hearing that. Yep the only thing that mattered was getting the load delivered. So I drove it back to the yard for our shop to fix.

Made a couple of trips to Perry, OK, delivering salt to the OK DOT. Spent one night at the Billings T/S, stayed last night at the Wally-World in Emporia. Made it there with just 1 minute left on my 11. Yesterday I drove a total of 680 miles.

Will be a busy weekend. My wife's boss, my former boss, the undersheriff lost his fight with cancer. So will be attending visitation and services.
