I missed it too, home for a bit. then headed east, 2 drops in Detroit, then to Brooklyn, then one more drop in NJ on US22 then back to Hillside for the backhaul, then I get to park near the Poconos for a few days to spend some time with my wife and the steps and other relatives.

I'm experienced enough to know to check out my load as soon as it's ready, and the reefer unit wasn't working right, so I got it switched to a trailer that is working. Yesterday was Thursday the 13th.

Salinas ca. Got the first pick on. A driver crunched her trailer into a bollard at the dock trying to back in. I was getting a burrito from the food van and heard the crunch from accross the lot. Looked like the door won't be closing properly after that one!!

Ah me. Rolled in at 20:52.

Starting about 14:30 it was "Ding" take this to Air France. "Ding" take THIS to Air France. Until when I got there I turned in 9 airway bills! Prior to that I took 213# to United and after that 1785# to Cargoux. MAY have turned out to be a decent week....

    We'll see....

Iron... I am a night person.... :yes2557: Actually, I woke up feeling good, not sleepy, didn't even need to drink my Brazilian tea to keep me awaken...:biggrin_25512: Enjoyed my night drive :yes2557: And drove till 11:30 this morning. Dropped my load at a WM DC, hooked to mpt, stopped at WM store for groceries and now at a FJ in MO. Felt pretty sleepy when I arrived here and despite of the heat inside the truck, I "collapsed" in bed and slept till evening... Now feeling well awaken... but not going anywhere... :biggrin_25513: Think will be here at least till Monday.

I'm a night person too, but I prefer to sleep through the day, get up as the sun goes down, and get going in the early evening. Sleeping through the night, and getting up in the early morning is just as bad as dayshift!

    :biggrin_25512:

Glade Springs VA, at the Petro. Heading for Hazleton PA for Saturday evening.
