TB, I've been delivering to Mound City, KS.

Rocks, We can make annotations to anything BUT driving. I still think it's odd that it will not automatically put us on Driving, or put us On-Duty when we stop. My understanding is the parking brake must be set before we can change status, however that's not the case. I've forgotten to change it to driving, and just came to a complete stop, and the status icon became active, so I changed to driving. Same can be said from Driving to On-Duty. Now is this intentional or an oversight? Don't know and for now not going to bring it up. :biggrin_25525:

Yesterday I thought I was going to go back to Chanute after delivering to Mound City, wrong. Instead he bounced me to St. Marys, KS, J.E.C. to load flyash for Hutchinson, KS. That's a 3 hr bounce to preload for Monday. Dispatch did say I could just wait and load early Monday. Yeah right, leave more like Sunday night. I have to deliver 7am Monday. It's 1.5 hrs from our yard to J.E.C., it takes at least an hour to load, then it's another 3.75 hrs to Hutchinson. Anytime I get these, I work it backwards to find out how early I must leave.

So took a crap-shot and headed for J.E.C. after taking my 30 mins at Mound City. When I was about 20 miles away from J.E.C. dispatch called wanting to know where I was at. I told him, and he then said that 2 other drivers were having problems with loading. The material was not coming out of the chutes, but since I was already almost there, I had to keep going. I told him "You better hope I don't run out of hours". I don't like that twerp in the least. He's a ####y SOB!! He wasn't worth spit when he was a driver.

So anyway just as he said, I had problems loading, what generally takes 10 mins under the chute, took me 45 mins. Managed to make it back to the yard and logged off-duty with 2 mins left. So I'm pre-loaded with flyash for Hutchinson. Yippee :biggrin_25523: This stuff sticks to the bed, so I know I'll be spending 2-3 hrs sweeping and scraping my bed on Monday.

At home in Winnipeg this weekend. Was busy this past week hauling grain out of the fields to the farm and elevator. Also managed to get a few dry fertilizer loads in from Portage la Prairie to Winkler Mb and some liquid loads from Brandon to St Leon Mb. Later today I have some very special "pick ups" to make, I am volunteering for "Koats for Kids" charity that collects donations of winter clothing to distribute to dis-advantaged kids in the Winnipeg city area. I have 3 pick ups to make today then take the clothing to the collection centre.

Its starting to get colder by the day! When we were combining the corn in those pics we were getting freezing rain on and off during the day. Average day time temps have been around 32 F and a bit lower, with the wind its chilly.

Well, had another night sleep on this couch/ bed... It wasn't bad at all... :biggrin_25512: Truck is still at the shop with hood open... :biggrin_2557: Freightliner sent msg to Detroit asking for troubleshooting but it seems they will have to order a very expensive part.... CSR box assembly.... That may happen on Monday.... which means that truck may be here till middle of next week. And I will have to go to a hotel.... Darn... and I was starting to feel cozy camping in this quiet room... Have my cooler, my blanket, restroom with shower just across the hall... Oh well.... will have to get a few other things out of the truck to take to hotel and will have to spend money with restaurant :biggrin_25510:cause I don't plan on bringing my stove, pots, bag of rice, cans, etc, etc... or maybe I will.... Decisions, decisions....

:biggrin_25523: Rocks, you have to be the most easy to please person on the planet. A recliner in a rest area and a bathroom with a shower and you are content. I would have been in a hotel after first night. Company pays for hotel right? Hope you get rolling soon, and enjoy the hotel room.

HAHAHA... It wasn't a rest area.... It was a "quiet room" at Freightliner. I said "camping" because it felt as if I were... had all my stuff organized in my corner, cooler, pots, bags, blanket... there were 2 recliners, I moved the best one to the darkest corner and made that my little cozy corner... :yes2557: Some folks would come in, take a nap in the other recliner for a while and then leave. But I was there for 2 days and 2 nights. But now I am here.... Yes... co. is supposed to pay for hotel...

This hotel is the only one closest to supermarket... about one mile.... and it has a shuttle van to transport folks from Freightliner. Tomorrow I will walk to supermarket for some groceries. :yes2557:
Decided to bring a box with my pot, stove, cookware, bag of rice, pasta, cooler.... A LOT OF STUFF! So I don't need to spend money at restaurants.... Just finished cooking some healthy meal here and will have a nice lunch.... or supper in a while. :yes2557:

This is my view.... at least till Monday. I'm in California.

It was indeed my lower radiator hose. I pulled the inner fender well so I could see what I was doing. Got it fixed. Got the antifreeze ratio at 65-70%. Took the trash into town and got Sonic to eat. Got a call from an unknown number. Let it go to voice mail. It was greg (YUCK!).

Murphy Shipping was ######## that I did not deliver last night. So I boogied down to United and got rid of it. I had darn well better make some decent weekend money of it!
