I'm a "geez what time is it now" kinda driver. Just get going when I have to depending on the load. If I have the time available to run it how I want I will try to get going around 10am and stop around 10 pm. I do most of my miles in the boonies of Montana, Nevada and Idaho so parkings not a problem at all late at night.
Now I am in Santa Nella ca. Been waiting all day to load and thought I would try to get somewhere tonight but this is as far as I got. Sitting around waiting all day tires me out more than working all day!

Oh I got a little fan I'll plug into my inverter, I'll be A-Okay pete...
I try to shut the truck off if it's between 50 and 75 degree's when I go to sleep anyhow...
I used to idle all of the time because I worked for a company that didn't care about my comfort or if I made any $$$, my new boss has bought me a brand new mattress and legacy leather low ride seat and didnt complain a bit...
Last week I averaged 7.4mpg for the week and I ran 3045 miles...
I try my best to save my boss $$$ whenever I can, I never run the skyway out in chicago, never run the toll road home from rochester NY and always avoid spending his $$$ on the road whenever I can...
Guess I just appreciate the way he treats us drivers...truckon, teddy_bear6506, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and 2 others Thank this. -
But not every time.
To be honest, I don't know what "kind of driver" I am...
I don't have a specific time I like to drive... I know I don't like to drive thru rush hr traffic.
