You know KW9's an Aussie, don't ya? He's just got it all turned around.

I'm actually looking forward to the first snow, this is the first time in way too many years that I've been in the same place every morning, and am definitely enjoying watching the changes. I'm sure I'm going to be miserably hot in Hawaii next week...:biggrin_25522:

I would like to go to South America for 4 months.... I HATE freaking winter and snow.

I am in my "Rock's Quiet Room" at Freightliner.... truck will be ready.... maybe later today... maybe tomorrow.... Who knows....

A man came inside "my" Quiet Room and we had nice conversation for over one hr.... Then we walked to our trucks to check on them.... Now back to the Quiet Room. Seems his truck will be here for a while.... Told him to go check in a hotel so he can rest some.... But he decided to take a nap on the recliner next to mine.... :biggrin_25518:

Ah... the big guy who was laughing really loud and screaming and thumping his foot on the floor while watching a comedy show on tv last night came to sleep in "my" Quiet Room yesterday.... He slept all night and snored like a bear.... like a hog.... like a truck driver.... :biggrin_2554::biggrin_25523:

Made it to Ontario....waiting for that overgrown pebble to call or holler......T/A West side....

Dispatch calls this morning asking me if I can deliver a day early....DUH...yeah!!!! Get there..."doing inventory, no receiving today...end of year....come back in the morning"

Makes ya wonder...especially when there isn't any freight tomorrow till mid afternoon....DO THEY EVEN BOTHER TO THINK BEFORE OPENING MOUTH????:biggrin_2551:

    Rocks and Hammer166 Thank this.

The bigger question is... does the dispatcher mind ever get out of brain freeze? I'd hazard a guess that they are locked in that mode perpetually!! :yes2557:

Loading taters in Pingree OR, headin' to the Cranky coast for 3 deliveries on Saturday in the Portland/Tacoma area.

I hope the excitement of the Sox win last night didn't do the Cranky Yankee in. :(

Nothing to worry about, Pete. Just remember to preselect range and split on the new 13's. You can always drive it like a 9 speed until you get in the last two gears and then split up, don't have to sweat it that way. After a few days you'll be fine and it'll be second nature again. And they have interlocks in the shift knob so you can't screw up and move anything you shouldn't.

Ithaca, NY. Parked at the shipper for the night. Load was supposed to be ready at 5pm, arrived at 4:15 and was told it wouldn't be ready until noon tomorrow. Heading to Summerside, PEI. Not a bad little run. Bonus for me, this place has free wifi and there was a Pizza Hut not too far down the road. Sweet!
