I took out a willow tree, (very simple really compared to what you are talking about,) a few years ago. I didn't have to worry about wires, just about my roof, my garage roof, my neighbor's roof and my chain link fence. I rented a lift that cost about 400 bucks. No way I could have gotten that done by somebody for that money. Of course I have no idea what that rental would cost now. This was in 2008 or so. Gave most of the wood to my neighbor's son who burns it for heat. Hauled the rest of it to the dump. Even though the tree was only about 35 feet tall, it was still quite a project. I HATE willow trees. . .

100 yards from the house
we had one get into the septic system then cracked the foundation
about $10000 before it was all over
it was a great tree growing up as a kid thou -
Willow trees, at least around here, have a pretty short life span. They do get big fairly quickly, but they are extremely messy and are subject to disease.

The worst tree I ever encountered was Cottonwood! Nasty, dirty, smelly...and the wood is useless and stinks when burning!
Growing up, we went up above 7000 foot level and hauled out scrub manzanita....no saws, just sledge hammers. Talk about a hot fire!!! My parents would have to replace the steel fire grate about every 5-7 years!
This Blue Oak, makes great firewood...not much use for it besides that.....except for the shade it offers when living!!! -

I have burned cottonwood myself when I lived over in Lone Pine and it was all that was available right then. It does not make a good fire. I can't imagine that this willow would have made a good fire either, but the guy wanted it. . . -
