My dsp went to work today. I called WM DC to know if they needed me to do store loads but they said didn't have enough for their own drivers.... it happens sometimes... So, my dsp gave me this preloaded trailer to pick up at a drop yard in NC and it will be live unloaded on Monday at 5:30 am in TN. I am at a TA in NC. Didn't expect to see it almost full when I got here. So, I parked way in the back..... and it's quiet... except when truck to my left turns the engine on and raises RPMs very high.... Going to have some pasta now and going to bed.

@ home. Had a good day relaxing on the couch. My GF went to see Taylor swift in concert tonight with her friends so I got the house to myself for the evening.

Last load Friday was sand to a small community near the shop. Then the fun starts. Now this is on my time (weekend), NO PAY.
I've switched trucks, got yet another well used one. So much so that they had to replace the driver's seat. Well the driver was a, well, he didn't miss a snack between his snacks, between his pre-meals, dinners...Looks about the same as what I've been peddling, however has a bigger sleeper. So anyway he got a "brandy-new" KW T800, and had to transfer his stuff out of his old one into his new one. He started his transfer Friday evening, meaning I couldn't begin mine until he was finished. So yesterday, I drove the 20 miles from my house to the shop to transfer my stuff. Thankfully he was finished. Someone even hooked my "new" old truck to my trailer. I really appreciated that, since it meant I had to do this outside in the 95+ degree heat. I started at around 1pm, and finally quit at 10:30pm.
I have to return today (shortly), to drill a hole so I can run the battery cables for my inverter. Yes I have to do this all myself. Oh and yesterday when transferring my CB, I noticed that someone had cut my coax. Nice clean diagonal slice 3/4 of the way through it. I was running a co-phase/dual Wilson setup. So I had to stop, lock up the trucks, run 8 miles to BETO, and get another coax. Did they have a decent co-phase? HECK NO, so I had to settle for a single, and had to buy some more zip ties, since the shop didn't have any that I could find. The shop mechanics don't work on weekends either.
Now here's the real kicker.... I'm dispatched to leave, shortly after midnight tonight, to load dust at Ash Grove (Chanute) for early morning delivery to a construction site south of Perkins, OK. Then from there run back to Port-33 load fertilizer to deliver to Colby, KS. Our dispatcher screwed us on this weekend. Forcing us to hurry, hurry, or as Rocks would say "Rush" to get into our new(er) trucks and still be ready to roll. Needless to say I was (am) a bit miffed. There's things that need fixing in the truck I now have, like the Peoplenet screen does not light up. Besides that I'm looking forward to all those "REGEN" messages that this 2010 Pete, C13 POS engine loves to throw. I wonder what boss will say when he wants me to "gimp" it to the nearest Cat shop, and I tell him, I'm calling a hook, I'm not going to be a hazard to other traffic.otherhalftw, ironpony and Rocks Thank this.
