Where Are You....continues........

My car is at the transmission shop... I didn't leave the hotel today and took a nap in the afternoon. Will go back on the road after I have my car fixed.

 

Obviously I did not check this site yesterday when I got home nor this morning.
I rolled in a few minutes before 20:00. Picked up my morning load. Put some more stuff on the trailer at SDV and delivered that.

Most weight out of 8 was 5568# Longest distance with weight was 1019# Longest distance period was with 300#.

Stood up for myself and REFUSED to load HazMat after 17:00. Chances were better than 50% that it would have been at least checked if not accepted. But I did not want to take the chance. Get to pick it up and deliver it in the morning, then drive over near I-10 West and Beltway 8 to pick a 34# box for SDV.

At least that is the plan. And I don't know if I've mentioned it but no plan survives first contact! And should I get out of doing the 34# box I won't cry!

 

Well, my plan back fired a bit. It's a little slow here this morning so they are almost done unloading me and I can't drive for at least 90 more minutes. Guess I should've slept a little longer and kept my original appointment time.

Dang, they're already done. Why do you get your fastest unload ever on the day you actually wanted them to take their time? Must be Pete's Law in play.

 

Remember Zen, "no plan survives first contact..." Maybe you can go park on the street for those remaining 90 mins if they won't let you stay there... and then hit the road. Take care Zen, be safe out there.

 

That is what I'm going to do. Should already be there but wasn't done catching up here.
