Dave... It sounds like you have been working pretty hard man... Hope you get a fat check...

I drove all night... from past midnight till 9:30 am. Dropped loaded trailer at co. terminal in OK... Mechanic rushed to do a BIG PM in the truck... TriPac PM, transmission and gear box PM + the other regular PM... and replaced one tire that had one small bald spot... But dsp didn't have much time to find a good load for me... She found one picking up nearby and going somewhere in FL... it was about 1130 miles loaded... but delivery was on Sunday at 20:00 I didn't like that... Cause would have to find a place to park after delivery at night... don't know who or where the receiver was... and would have about 5 hrs left from my 70 and would regain hrs on Tuesday... So, I said no for that load...

So... now I am here... under a tree...



No... not Dave's tree...
I bobtail to a Pilot in Oklahoma City because my co. terminal has nothing... only one outside portable toilet...

Will stay here till Sunday evening... anyone passing by... I'll treat you to a drink of your liking if you wish to stop by...

 

Wow Rocks... trees in Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains.
I sat at SDV for a bit more than 3 hours waiting on three loads.
Singapore #1. British Air #2. Somewhere in there he sends pick up Murphy for Air France and pick up paperwork at Murphy to pick up AT Air France to go back to Murphy.
On the way to Murphy he sends pick up at NSA on Kieth Harrow Blvd. 1355# 14 foot long need trailer. So I hurried to get Murphy dropped, trailer hooked and fueled up.
I was almost to 610 on 59s when he sent pick up NOV on North Belt .
Soon after when I was well along I-10 he calls and says NOV is a must and we can do NSA
on Monday. But I was already that far along I wasn't ABOUT to turn back.
So I got it and rushed as much as possible to NOV. Where the pick up number in provided was out of the system and gone. Couldn't get anyone on the phone.
But soon Roland called and after I sprained it to him he said get out of there.
Shortly an SDV girl called and I told her about it and she said she would call Roland.
When I was pretty much past the point of no return he called and gave me a number different by one number and said I have to go back. So about 30 minutes later i hit NOV again. It worked this time. Got to SDV at 6:15. Jason unloaded me and signed my tickets.
Went and dropped trailer and headed home. Got here 7:45.

So.... I am still parked where I was yesterday...



this is a GREAT spot... has a nice view, next to building and I am not taking any 18 wheeler space... and don't have any noisy truck next to me... and there's a faucet nearby where I was planning on refreshing myself since I have only one shower left till Monday at least...
But a man with a couple of back-packs came and sat right near one of my windows... He saw me walking inside the building earlier.... and now he smiled and waived at me as I walked out of the truck... for some reason I didn't feel comfortable with that... I had all my windows open and now I closed the ones facing him cause I don't like being watched by strangers with bag-packs at truck stops...
This area has folks holding signs asking for money, etc at lights and near truck stops...
I was considering moving to the FJ across from highway... but no great parking spot for a bobtail like this one...
Well... I think will walk around a little before the rain comes...

 

Well... I went out for a walk and then saw the man going to TA across the street... Great! I thought... he is not sitting next to my window any more...
Now I am back in my truck, all windows open... enjoying a nice breeze... Will go to Walmart later today or tomorrow.

 

I went to beautiful downtown Shepherd to drop some trash, get some needed things at the grocery store and got myself lunch at Sonic.
