We got one on a piece, at the co-op getting a flat fixed on my buggy. Got a BBQ from the trailer on the corner so I guess it's Houston again by morning.

Uh huh. Another FUSTERCLUCK to end the day.
This morning 59 Southbound was messed up by a Hazmat crash.
I used overland roads to get from home to Sugarland for 3 cartons 71# going to SDV on a direct hot.
He had called much earlier and said he had a load paying $261 one drum Hazmat going to Huntsville. Between rain, construction and lane closure it took an hour and a half to get up there. He wanted to know how soon I'd get back to Houston.
He sent pick up three pieces hazardous at FMC Gears Rd. going to 77571.
Got to FMC with trailer at 3:30. Got loaded and tried to leave at 4.
But more paperwork was needed. At 4:45 I was unloaded because there were no Hazmat docs to make up exit paperwork.

They were just taking a muddy car on a flatbed wrecker to open the left lane just south of Cleveland and I got home at 6:35.

So... I woke up at co. warehouse today... and hooked to preloaded trailer. Other driver who also took his 10 there was going to the same co. event I was.
I left first and went to Blue Beacon inside Petro in NJ for truck and trailer wash... they didn't do a good job and I asked them to do the roof of the truck again... and they did...
At Petro met 3 other fellow drivers who were going to same event.
I turned my laptop on and showed them on Google satellite and street view the location where we would be going and we discussed 2 possible routes and where we would park at the campus.
I left Petro first and headed to huge service plaza in Little Ferry, NJ.... All other drivers got there after me and we killed some time...
Leader driver asked me to be second in line and we all left in a convoy to the university campus where we must be in the morning for pictures session, media and such.
First time I was part of a convoy... :biggrin_25519: 5 big trucks following each other on congested, and thru construction narrow streets during evening rush hr in NJ... :biggrin_25523:
But we all got at the campus sound and safe... :yes2557:
At campus, we all parked in the middle of the narrow street, turned our flashers on and the leader and I got out of our trucks and walked around to decide which parking lot we would "invade"... :biggrin_2559:

Had a couple of very sharp and narrow turns to get in and avoid the low tree branches and the curbs... :biggrin_2552:

Once inside of the parking lot we blocked two entrances so nobody can block our exit tomorrow... :yes2557:

After pics and such, another driver and I will head to another location for delivery... a much smaller parking lot... but there will be folks waiting for us to direct us on the wrong way street to the parking lot...

And after delivery, will head to another service plaza in NJ and reset... Will pick up on Monday and head to AL... :biggrin_25519:
