I rolled in 19:40 with 9 deliveries down. Highest weight 26something. Longest run was from Luthe Rd. to down near Hobby Airport with 305# (I think it was more but that's what I'll be payed for).

Have a morning pick up truck run to the one airline I'd strike from the list if I could.

IF the morning thing happens as planned I'll find out if they are working Thurs. or Fri.
I can't make it if I sit still 4 days!

Pulled into my "special T/A", Aurora, OR...another DHE is parked almost directly across from me. Went over to chat, he comes out of his truck and tells me he can't see out of one eye and the second is getting cloudy. He had cataract surgery 4 years ago on the one eye...got back to 20/180 in the right and 20/40 in the left. Looks and sounds like the cataract has grown back in the right, and now the left. Called dispatch told them I would bring him down to Reno.

So now Curtis (dispatcher) is all upset with having the truck sitting in Aurora....not to mention the fact another driver last Friday, abandoned his truck in Ashland. OR and DHE aren't compatible I guess! So deliver in Gresham, down to Salem for the load headed for Reno/Modesto.

Transam managers are required to call at hour 10 to remind us to find someplace to shut down
I am not sure how I got thru my first 58 years without them
my elog now only shows 8 hours of drive time every day
until I take my 30 min break then I get my other 3 hours
    for being a good boy

Elog sounds somewhere between a blessing and a curse....

    With a good company/dispatcher it's probably a good thing.

With the morons I dealt with at PAM would have been not so good.

    Happy Wednesday y'all.

I still have the old system... shop guys tell me that they'd have to gut the elog wiring to update it. I told 'em... "What's bad about that?"

    :biggrin_25523:

...gotta go get a load on this morning.

Barron, WI. Was supposed to be a drop and hook but when I got here they told me to stay hooked to my trailer. Started cooling it down and waited and waited. Somebody came out and told me to drop it as they already had one in a door for me. Pulled under it and am waiting some more. 600+ miles yesterday. Will get barely 100 today.

Yes, they have and I should've worded that differently as the 100 miles today is my choice. I have a bunch of friends 35 miles west of here so I'm going to meet them tonight instead of heading south. Unfortunately, they are all already at the bar waiting for me and I sit here with a perpetual red light. :biggrin_25510:
